Bayan Lepas, Penang – 29 October 2013 – More than 3,300 Dell Malaysia team members, their friends and families showed their commitment to make a difference in the community they work and live in by raising funds for three charities through its recent Dell Charity <engaged> 2013 event.

Dell’s 8th annual event also saw the introduction of the new 5 km Fun Ride, a ride for cycling enthusiasts who prefer shorter distances, in addition to the 5 km competitive run, 2 km fun run, and the 40 km ride from Dell’s second Asia Pacific Customer Care Center (APCC2) to the Dato’ Simon Wong Technology Center (SWTC).

This year’s  Dell Charity <engaged> event saw more than 2,700  participants with 97 cycling enthusiasts signing up for the 5 km Fun Ride and 65 registrants for the 40 km ride. The event also served as a platform for Dell team members and their families to have a day of fun at the Family Day and Food Fiesta while contributing to a good cause.
Participants at the event had the opportunity to do their part in raising funds for the charities by purchasing food and beverages, phone accessories, books , toys and souvenirs at the booths at the Family Day and Food Fiesta organised by the Dell Women in Search of Excellence (WISE) team.  Aside from these items, they also had the opportunity to dunk their directors and team members, and take home one of the adorable pets from SPCA, all in the name of charity.
