Danish Software Specialist to Strengthen Market Presence in Malaysia in Partnership with the Ministry of Education

Kuala Lumpur, July 5, 2007 – Danware Data A/S (Danware), a leading software specialist and developer of the NetOp® technology, together with its Malaysian partner ProNetOp Sdn Bhd, has announced plans to further strengthen its market presence in Malaysia by increasing the distribution of its NetOp® software products to all government schools and institutes of higher learning within Malaysia.

In supporting the Malaysian government’s mission to bridge the digital divide, Danware and ProNetOp currently provide the Ministry of Education with more than 70,000 licenses of NetOp® School software, installed in over 2,000 primary and secondary schools as well as institutes of higher learning.

Claus Andreasson, Regional Manager of Danware said, “We are targeting to increase this number significantly by the end of this year 2007 and we are doing this by fostering closer ties with government agencies such as the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU).

“We have recently reached an agreement with MAMPU and they will recommend our software systems to all government agencies and educational institutions that may require a competent security management system such as ours.”

“We see a huge potential for our products in the Malaysian market and we are confident that we will benefit from the extended partner network. We are already well presented in the Malaysian market with Advantage System Sdn Bhd which mostly addresses the private sector; however, we need to further strengthen our focus on the government, education and security sector through our partnership with ProNetOp,” he added.

NetOp® School is an award-winning application that makes computer based teaching more efficient. With NetOp® School, teachers can instruct individually, yet simultaneously. It also allows teachers to follow all students’ progress carefully and even appraise students online. The software allows teachers to follow all students’ activities in real time and allow or deny any specific programmes and web addresses.

Adi Yazid Rosli, CEO of ProNetOp Sdn Bhd said, “With the NetOp® software systems, students learn better and are protected from improper use of the Internet. We are also looking forward to helping the Malaysian government control applications used within government offices to avoid any kind of software misuse.”

“With the availability of NetOp® School in almost all schools and government agencies, we hope that we can help Malaysia get a step closer to achieve its objectives to reduce digital divide, foster transparency and efficiency and increase the usage of ICT so that its benefits can be felt by the wider community,” he added.

Besides NetOp® School, NetOp® also offers software systems that deter improper use of the internet or abuse of software with their NetOp® Netfilter and their process control software.
