3COM ANNOUNCES NEW COUNTRY MANAGER FOR MALAYSIA
MALAYSIA – 14 August 2007 – 3Com Corporation recently announced that Marcus Lai has been appointed as the new country manager for 3Com-Malaysia. The naming of the new in-country management team is part of the overall integration of the 3Com and H3C Technologies sales and marketing teams, which was completed on July 11, 2007.

As leader of 3Com-Malaysia, Lai will be responsible for all sales, customer and partner programs, as well as the day-to-day operations in the country. He will report directly to Peter Chai, Vice-President & General Manager (Asia Pacific), 3Com Corporation.

“By integrating all of 3Com and H3C personnel in Malaysia and in other countries around the region, 3Com has created one unified company,” said Chai. “We are very fortunate to have Lim as part of our management team in APR. With Lim at the helm of the 3Com-Malaysia team, I am very confident that we now have the leadership in place that will help us win in both the large enterprise and SMB markets in Malaysia.

Chai continued, “As a result of the integration, 3Com and H3C SMB and enterprise customers and partners now have access to a broader portfolio of secure, converged networking solutions. We are also committed to ensuring that our customers and partners enjoy the same level of support and services as they have come to expect from H3C and 3Com.”

Lai, who has 18 years of experience in the information technology industry, was appointed country manager for 3Com-Malaysia when 3Com announced its acquisition of H3C in March 2007.

He joined 3Com-Malaysia in 1999 as the sales manager responsible for 3Com-Malaysia’s distributors, resellers and corporate customers. Lai has consistently been recognized for his outstanding achievements within 3Com and most notable, was awarded the recognition for Enterprise Leadership in 2005 for reviving the 3Com enterprise business in Malaysia.

In March 2007, 3Com announced its acquisition of 100 percent of H3C Technologies of China, thus creating a single unified organization.
