Fortinet宣佈環球聯盟夥伴計劃

Fortinet Announces Global Alliance Partner Program

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – August 2, 2007– Fortinet – the pioneer and leading provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions – today announced a three-tiered Global Alliance Partner Program designed to complement and extend the unique value proposition of Fortinet’s security product and service offerings for large global enterprises and service providers. The new program will consist of an ecosystem of industry-leading information technology (IT) vendors, global systems integrators, service providers, and technology consultancy firms. Initial program members include Alcatel-Lucent, AMD, ArcSight, ProCurve Networking by HP and Unisys.

In an ever-evolving threat environment, enterprises and service providers are challenged with protecting increasingly expanding networks that include an array of new applications, services and users. Wireless points of presence, mobile computing environments and next-generation data, voice and video applications and services all bring about new avenues of entry into networks and require granular protection.
The Fortinet Global Alliance Partner Program is designed to create effective partnerships with innovative and industry-leading companies to meet varying customer requirements for multiple levels of security, management and enterprise-class support, while providing a defense-in-depth approach to help secure large networks around the world. The three-tiered program extends a variety of benefits to chosen partners, including early access to enhanced products, joint marketing and solution testing, training, technical support, and sales tools. The program’s three levels of participation include:
Strategic – Strategic Partners are reserved for a select few IT vendors and platform providers with products or services that enhance Fortinet’s product portfolio. Strategic partners receive the highest level of support from Fortinet, including dedicated account representatives and customized go-to-market plans that include joint sales and marketing initiatives designed to drive incremental revenue. Additionally, Fortinet works directly with Strategic Partners to define and support joint customer engagements and provide customized integration to meet specific customer requirements. Unisys, Alcatel-Lucent and ProCurve Networking by HP are Fortinet’s current Strategic Partners.

Solution – Solution Partners develop and deliver industry-leading products that extend or enhance Fortinet’s FortiGate and FortiManager appliances to deliver greater value for joint customers. These partners have achieved proven success with Fortinet solutions and are committed to the continued adoption of integrated technologies in the market place. Solution Partners must meet specific technical and sales requirements, including product integration verification and a “meet-in-the channel” sales strategy. ArcSight is Fortinet’s first Solution Partner.

Technology – Technology Partners are IT vendors with products that have been tested for compatibility and proven to complement and extend Fortinet’s portfolio security solutions. Technology Partners, such as AMD, support solutions that extend market presence, collaborate to ensure compatibility and support mutually beneficial channel engagement efforts.

“We partnered with Fortinet based on the strength and reliability of the company’s industry-leading FortiGate products,” said Paul Congdon, Chief Technology Officer and HP Fellow, ProCurve Networking by HP. “As a Fortinet Strategic Partner, we are able to even more closely collaborate to solve customer security challenges through our ProCurve ProActive Defense strategy and the pairing of our Network Immunity Manager with Fortinet’s multi-threat security appliances.”

“Fortinet believes strongly in working closely with partners to meet the varying requirements of our customers and has successfully built mutually-beneficial partnerships with industry leaders," said Karl Soderlund, vice president of Americas sales and global alliances for Fortinet. "The Fortinet Global Alliance Program provides a formalized framework for existing and new partners to drive maximized value to customers and incremental revenue to Fortinet and its partners.”

Fortinet's compelling offering includes its industry-leading FortiGate family of multi-threat security systems. The FortiGate systems deliver comprehensive network and content protection to enterprises and service providers of all sizes through the integration of eight essential security applications and services - including antivirus, firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-spam, anti-spyware, Web filtering and traffic shaping. Fortinet’s FortiMail offering is a family of high-performance, multi-layered email security platforms that remove unwanted spam and provide maximum protection for blended email-related threats and facilitate regulatory compliance. Both the FortiGate and FortiMail systems are kept up to date automatically by Fortinet's FortiGuard subscription services, which provide continuous updates to ensure protection against the latest viruses, worms, Trojans, and other threats - around the clock, and around the world, Fortinet’s FortiManager systems are the cornerstone of the company’s central management solution for all systems within the Fortinet line of products.
