MALAYSIA WINS 2ND RUNNER-UP IN WCG 2007 ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP


KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2007 – The hardcore training and strategy discussions that went on for countless nights did not go to waste for Team Cybertime1 as they’ve managed to fight their way through to the WCG 2007 Asian Championship DotA-Allstars finals against China.

Team Cybertime1 managed to win the battles against the Australians (Immunity) and Thais (NG.LF) in the group stage, and then, won the battle against the New Zealanders (M.C.C) in the top 8 stage.

They then proved themselves to be one of the top teams live on stage where they fought against the Phillipines (FLOW) and won the battle.

On the 2nd day of WCG 2007 Asian Championship, they gave their best to fight against China (ClanWorldElites) to snag the Champion title.

In the battle of blood and sweat, putting their audiences and supporters in intense excitement, they managed to lead the game for the first 45 minutes, and then put up a tough defense from China’s attack.

They fought hard in the next 30 minutes battle, and finally the Chinese gave their best attack and emerged to win the first place.

“China had great teamwork and had been really cautious in the game, I’m glad to be able to play against the top Asia DotA team. We definitely managed to learn a lot from the game,” said Paul Yan, one of the top DotA & WarCraft III gamer.

Team Cybertime1 certainly proved themselves as one of the top Asian DotA team in the WCG 2007 Asian Championship.

In game – FIFA Soccer 07, represented Malaysia was [wnDs]Lo0n4tic who lost the battle against China and Vietnam in the Group Stage. For Warcraft ® III: Frozen Throne, well-known gamer Battleangel tied with China and India in the group stage, but eventually India qualified for 2nd place in the group stage.
