Blue Coat ProxySG提升整體輸出功效達220%

Blue coat proxy SG appliances increase wan optimization throughput by up to 220% MALAYSIA, October 1, 2007 – Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCSI), a leader in WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced updated operating system software and hardware upgrades for its Blue Coat® ProxySG® appliances that result in Wide Area Network (WAN) optimization throughput increases of up to 220%. In addition, Blue Coat has simplified the deployment of its appliances through a new installation wizard and factory integration of previously optional add-in cards for pass-through routing and SSL processing. Incorporation of the cards into the appliances as a standard feature reflects customer demand, since a significant proportion of ProxySG appliances are now used for WAN optimization as well as security and control.

Depending on the model, the upgraded ProxySG appliances may include improvements such as a secondary processor and more memory to increase overall throughput. Increased throughput results in greater capacity to support more users, locations and traffic. An update to the operating system software for ProxySG appliances, SGOS 5.2, also contributes to gains in throughput.

“The updated hardware and software for our ProxySG family of appliances provide a significant advance in performance, enabling us to continue our momentum in WAN optimization,” said Bethany Mayer, senior vice president, Worldwide Marketing, Blue Coat Systems. “We have also made a number of important steps in simplification, ranging from streamlined choices within the product family to improvements in the ease of installation and deployment. These enhancements will benefit our channel partners as well as our customers.”

Blue Coat ProxySG appliances accelerate content and applications across the WAN to branch offices or an organization’s Internet gateway connection point to the Internet. In addition the appliances provide branch offices or headquarters and data centers with protection from viruses, spyware and other malware and control the usage of applications such as instant messaging, streaming media, peer-to-peer file sharing, and more.
