Tianjin Shengxing Furniture Successfully Implements Lawson M3

Designed for the furniture industry, this ERP application suite enables Shengxing Furniture to optimize its business process, reduce costs and improve product quality and on-time delivery performance

SINGAPORE – April 10, 2008 – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) announced today that it has successfully helped Tianjin Shengxing Furniture Co. Ltd implement the Lawson M3 Furniture Industry ERP solution. With this suite of applications specially designed for the furniture industry, Shengxing Furniture has successfully optimized its business process including sales, planning, production, purchase, warehousing and finance, thereby reducing costs, improving product quality and on-time delivery performance.

Shengxing Furniture is the largest metal furniture maker in north China, and is primarily engaged in metal, glass, wooden, marble and fiberglass products. With a good overseas reputation, all of its products are exported, with over 70% to Europe and North America.

As a large-scaled local enterprise with annual operation revenue of over US$300 million, Shengxing Furniture has over 1,800 employees and is still in the stage of rapid growth. It needed an advanced information system to help manage operations, control costs, increase workflow efficiency and on-time delivery as well as improve product quality.

Using the Lawson M3 suite of applications, Shengxing Furniture created a supply chain platform across different functions of the company for more effective collaboration and information sharing. This optimized and beefed up its business processes, which included sales, planning, purchase, production and finance.
