Kuala Lumpur – UCare (www.ucare.com.my), Malaysia's first combined Extended Warranty and All Risks Protection for computers, has launched its coverage programme recently. It is an integrated service and support plan that provides a 2-year Extended Warranty in addition to a 1-year All Risk Protection for newly purchased computers.

New computer owners, except for commercial use, can now extend their manufacturer's warranty coverage up to the third year and have the repair fees and components replacement costs being taken care by UCare if the computer fails to operate as a result of mechanical or electrical breakdown .

To offer the most comprehensive coverage, UCare also adds the All Risks Protection to its extended warranty package. This All Risks Protection provides coverage during the first year for any loss or damage due to fire, lightning, flood, burglary with forcible entry, armed robbery or accidents.

“Unlike conventional coverage, UCare does not impose any Excess when members make their claims,” explained Mr Khoo Tzyh Lih, General Manager of UCare. “In addition to that, UCare membership is available to foreigners who are studying or working in Malaysia and many more.”

UCare is available in most IT stores throughout Malaysia and is also applicable to projectors. Users can purchase UCare at anytime within 30 days from the purchase date of their new and branded computer or projector.
