Trend Micro accelerates efforts to create security awareness amongst SMEs from web threats and cybercrime

Ties up with Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry to offer security solutions

KLANG – May 9, 2009 – Trend Micro, a global leader in network anti-virus and security solutions software products and services, announced it is increasing its efforts to create security awareness amongst SMEs from web threats and cybercrime through its partnership with Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCCI).

Both parties signed a MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) today, witnessed by Mr Low Kok Siang (Youth Chairman, Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCCI) , Mr. Tan Kai Hee (Vice President, Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCCI) which will see Trend Micro and KCCCI cooperating and working together in good faith to provide various Trend Micro security solution services to KCCCI’s members in Klang. KCCCI has to date 1,000 members while ACCCIM has 100,000 members nationwide. “We are delighted to be partnering with KCCCI today, a leading chamber of commerce with extensive members in Malaysia, to create awareness of web threats and cybercrime to its members,” said Mr. Stan Lee, Country Sales Manager, Trend Micro Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
