A REWARDING ‘bonUs’ ADVENTURE

Media representatives experienced U Mobile’s rewards programme in a treasure hunt

Kuala Lumpur, 25 October 2011 –It was a beautiful morning filled with excitement and adrenaline rush as U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco service provider introduced media representatives to the benefits of U Mobile’s “bonUs” programme in a tailor-made treasure hunt.

Aptly named “bonUs Adventure”, the seven media participants took on Berjaya Times Square and experienced the rewards of being a U Mobile subscriber. Each participant was required to collect stamps from five participating merchants. They also had to locate a mysterious man to complete the quest, who only responded to the password “Are U on U?”

Speaking about the “bonUs” Adventure, Lisy Lee, Head of Corporate Communications at U Mobile Sdn Bhd said, “We wanted a creative and unconventional way of telling our media friends about the U Mobile ‘bonUs’ rewards programme. We’re delighted to be able to provide a fun-filled day while demonstrating the endless rewards that one can enjoy as a U Mobile subscriber.”

Under the “bonUs” programme, U Mobile offers the latest in discounts, vouchers and special packages to its prepaid and postpaid customers. Apart from enjoying discounts with over 60 merchants in over 839 outlets nationwide including Starbucks, Boost Juice, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Purple Cane Tea Art Centre & Restaurant, customers can also enjoy up to 50 percent discounts off rack rates with Berjaya Resorts nationwide just by dialing *118# on their mobile phones.

The “bonUs Adventure” saw eventual winner, Loh Ving Sung of Mobile88, walking home with a brand new HTC Wildfire and one year free subscription of U Mobile’s U58 postpaid plan. Two other journalists also bagged a pearl necklace each, courtesy of Lazo Diamond. To end the day, members of the media were treated to a 15-minute shoulder massage courtesy of Jojoba Spa.
A short briefing on the ‘bonUs’ programme as well as the introduction of the new U Mobile’s postpaid plan were also conducted before and after the treasure hunt respectively.
