45 years of improving work processes and realizing greener workspace in Malaysia

Fuji Xerox Malaysia, formerly known as Rank Xerox, was first established in 1966 and was first known for its first ever plain paper copier in the Malaysian market. Ever since then, Fuji Xerox has made big strides in developing various products in order to enhance the office efficiency and maximize profitability by simplifying the document management and work process.

“Keeping pace with economy transition, we have transformed our offerings and technology from analog to digital, black and white to color, from single function copier to multifunction device, purely hardware to a comprehensive solution of hardware, software and services. Today, Fuji Xerox Malaysia is the leader of color multifunction devices, document management solutions, production printing services, and end-to-end management of document processes,” said Masahiko Saito, President of Fuji Xerox Malaysia.Mr. Thevendran Sivanantham_General Manager of Business Operations and FXGS_Fuji Xerox Malaysia

Throughout 45 years, Fuji Xerox Malaysia has been pursuing a path of sustainability in all facets of its operations and their longstanding commitment to environmentally responsible design spans more than three decades on a global scale. For example, in efforts to contribute to global warming mitigation, Fuji Xerox Japan has set its greenhouse gas reduction target by 30% by year 2020 and launched company-wide efforts involving both domestic and overseas affiliates. With this, Fuji Xerox Malaysia is also committed to achieve 5% or more of absolute annual CO2 emission reduction in its premises from FY2011 to FY2016. 1% of CO2 reduction is equivalent to 26,900 kWh per year. It is estimated that average annual electricity consumption per household in Malaysia is about 2200 kWh per year. Thus, with commitment of 5% CO2 emission reduction, Fuji Xerox should be able to contribute to the supply of electricity to more than 60 households in 5 years.

Today, the name "FUJI XEROX" is a global brand synonymous with leadership in document services and technologies, attributed to cutting edge document solutions that consistently meet customers’ demands and expectations. With DocuWorld 2011 taking center stage in Malaysia this year, the nation can look back at 45 years of gaining higher productivity and maintaining environmental sustainability within business processes.
