PC Fair 2011 Seremban part of NSICT Carnival 2011

PC Fair 2011 Seremban held in conjunction with NSICT Carnival 2011, to be launched November 26, 2011 by Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2011, KUALA LUMPUR – The year-end PC Fair 2011 continues this week in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. It will be held November 25 to 27 in conjunction with NSICT Carnival 2011 which will be launched November 26, 2011 by Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan at State Youth & Sports Complex in Paroi, approximately 10 minutes drive from city centre.

According PIKOM president Shaifubahrim Saleh, PC Fair 2011 Seremban is co-organised with Negeri Sembilan State Government. “This effort marks the first of such collaborations between the Negeri Sembilan State Government and us. We are excited and consumers there can look forward to numerous options specifically on tablets, handheld devices, GPS products, small-and-medium based computing solutions, high performance desktop computers and peripherals, wireless broadband packages, desktop and mobile audio devices and digital cameras,” he said.

The three-day popular Fair will feature 33 participating exhibitors like Comp Solution (Booth SBN25, SBN26), Golden Horse Centre (Booth SBN30), IT Jaya Sdn Bhd (Booth SBN09), Netsis Technology Sdn Bhd (Booth SBN22, SBN31) and STP Computer System (Booth SBN18, SBN19), representing local consumer ICT retailers. "The Fair is a terrific opportunity for local retailers to showcase their products and strengthen their presence," he said.

Several activities like PC Fair Lucky Draw 2011, PC Fair 2011 Redemption Program and stage activities will be held to add a festive ambient. "We expect the Fair in Seremban to host a large crowd of visitors and shoppers with the start of the year-end school holidays last week. The lucky winner of the final lucky draw on November 27, 2011 will go home with an Apple iPad2." Four draws will be held daily; 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm and only shoppers with a minimum purchase of RM100 are eligible to participate.

Shoppers there can also be in the running for the grand prize of PCFair 2011 Lucky Draw, a RM100,000 Mazda2 1.5 DN78 RAB (special edition) Hatch Back. “The lucky draw is part of PIKOM’s 25th Anniversary celebrations and we invite everyone at PC Fair 2011 Seremban who is eligible to take part."

Global brands are also making their presence like Acer Sales and Services Sdn Bhd (Booth SBN07, SBN13) and Hewlett-Packard (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Booth SBN14, SBN28) as well as large retailers like Servex (M) Sdn Bhd (Booth SBN06) and Thunder Match Technology Sdn Bhd (SBN17). “This will be the first step towards fulfilling our vision of a fully e-Enabled and e-Connected state in Malaysia by 2020. It is also an excellent opportunity to engage industry players and create sustainable Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources for future generations and narrow the digital gap in Negeri Sembilan,” said Haji Mohamad, adding it will also aid to raise ICT awareness in the state.

The Fair starts at 11.00am and ends at 9.00pm. The final leg of the Fair will be held December 2 – 4 at three locations; Batu Pahat Mall in Batu Pahat, Village Mall in Sg. Petani and KL Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. - PIKOM
