Malaysian telecommunications company Talk Focus Sdn Bhd today signed a partnership agreement with DiGi Telecommunications (DiGi) for a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) known as “Tron” which will offer a unique voice and data pay plan.
Targeted at young Malaysians, the lifestyle based Tron will be the first in Malaysia to offer an unconditional 365 day validity for top-ups in addition to rewards for subscribers for using their mobile devices with redeemable Tron Points that can be used to acquire a wide range of items.

Chief Executive Officer of Talk Focus, Steven Loke, said “Despite being a new player in the domestic MVNO market, Tron has a competitive edge because of its flagship year long credit validity, its numerous incentives, and the development of our own Tron user community.”
“We plan to grow the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) by leveraging the growing use of mobile Internet and smart devices by consumers in Malaysia, particularly among young Malaysians who are heavy users of social media. This requires network stability and reliability which is why we are very excited to be working with DiGi because of its ability to deliver our unique brand experience,” said Loke.
K.Kunendran, DiGi’s Head of MVNO Business Development said the “the data applications and services offered by Tron will complement those presently available in the market, and its lifestyle proposition will offer young Malaysians the ability to enjoy these notable services and deals while on DiGi’s network.”
In line with its tagline ‘Life.On”, Tron will facilitate the mobile lifestyle of its subscribers by connecting them to a dedicated self-care web portal cum social media platform at www.tron.com.my which will also keep subscribers updated on merchant discounts and perks.
“The one-stop Tron portal will transform the traditional user experience as it integrates all apps, services and social media platforms into a single convenient interface which will offer a different experience in the use of mobile devices,” added Loke.
Tron will be officially on soon and can be experienced at the Tron Concept Stores which are already open in Sunway Pyramid and Tropicana City Mall in Petaling Jaya.
