Local Animation Company Inspidea Inks Co-Production Deal to Animate Best-Selling Children's Book Bat Pat

Landmark deal for MSC Malaysia company marks another milestone for the Malaysian animation and entertainment industry

CYBERJAYA, FEBRUARY 13, 2012 – Inspidea Sdn Bhd (http://www.inspidea.com/), an MSC Malaysia status digital animation studio company, recently entered into an official partnership with Italy-based Atlantyca Entertainment and Spain-based Imira Entertainment to jointly produce and develop a 52-episode animated series, Bat Pat, The Creepy Sitcom. The deal marks another milestone in Malaysia’s creative, animation and entertainment industry, as well as reinforces the status of the country as a leading global ICT hub.

Bat Pat, The Creepy Sitcom, is based on the bestselling children’s book series Bat Pat, which sold more than 1 million copies in Spain. The story follows the comical animated adventures of Bad Pat and his friends Martin, Leo and Rebecca Silver, as they set off on a journey to investigate the supernatural events of Fogville. Each episode will follow Bat Pat on a mission with his friends to unravel the mysteries of Fogville, which draws attention from ghosts, mummies, witches, monsters and other supernatural creatures.
