Dell Expands Services Warranty Options for Purchase at Retail Outlets with the New Dell Service Card

Malaysia, March 30, 2012 - Malaysian consumers can now enjoy the convenience of extending the warranty on their Dell systems at authorized retail stores nationwide. Dell’s pre-packaged Dell Service Card for retail offers owners of any Inspiron, XPS or Alienware products a variety of warranty upgrade options to protect their investments for up to three years.

“Today’s consumer demands outstanding service and support for their technology products. With the new Dell Service Card, they now have the choice and convenience to extend the warranty on their Dell systems hassle free at retail stores,” said Khoo Teng Guan, General Manager, South Asia and Korea, Dell Services. “Dell Services plans offer customers a choice of options so that they can not only get exactly the level of service and protection that they need but enjoy peace of mind that their service and support needs will be taken care of.”In addition to the basic service cover for selected products in Dell’s consumer range, the new Dell Service Card gives purchasers the option of extending the type of service or the length of coverage (up to three years), depending on the system. Types of service that can be upgraded include Carry In Service, In-Home/On-Site Services and Premier Service. The warranty upgrade cost ranges from RM149 to RM599 depending on the type of services purchased.

Dell Service Cards can be purchased for all upcoming and existing Dell Inspiron, XPS and Alienware systems at Dell Direct Stores or Dell authorised retail outlets at any time before the expiration of the standard first year warranty that comes with these systems.
