RAZER TO DEVELOP E-SPORTS SCENE IN MALAYSIA

CEO of Razer, Min-Liang Tan, to Make First Visit to Kuala Lumpur to Extend Commitment to Developing the e-Sports Scene in Malaysia

Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur – April 5, 2012 – Razer, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, is rallying local professional gamers under a unified banner to level up Malaysia’s e-Sports profile.

Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO, will be making his first official visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to extend Razer’s commitment in developing the Malaysian e-Sports scene and promote it to a global level. Tan is also the world-renowned creative director who leads out the global design teams behind the multi-award winning Razer products.He will also be meeting the local gaming community and partners to garner more support for Malaysia’s growing gaming scene. Currently sponsoring local professional multi-gaming team, Orange e-Sports, Tan welcomes aspiring teams to send in their applications to become a part of Team Razer.

“There is still so much room for the Malaysian e-Sports community and industry as a whole to grow,” said Tan. “Razer is looking forward to equip more aspiring Malaysian gamers with our gaming-grade hardware and provide the financial support so that they can focus on their gaming and dominate the global gaming arena.”

In conjunction with the PIKOM PC Fair from 13th to 15th April, Razer will be sponsoring the e-Club Invitational for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Defense of the Ancients 2 (DotA 2). Visitors can join in the action and be one of the first players to try out the CS: GO and DotA 2. The e-Club Invitational will start from 13th April, Friday with finals taking place on the 15th April, Sunday at the event.
