NOMAD GROUP SERVICED OFFICES TO PARTNER TGS ENTERPRISE FOR ITS NETWORK SOLUTIONS

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 July 2012 – The Nomad Group Berhad (The Nomad Group) has appointed TGS Enterprise Networks Sdn Bhd (TGS Enterprise Networks) as its telecommunications services and solutions partner for its serviced offices in South East Asia.

With the signing of this partnership agreement, TGS Enterprise Networks will manage and improve the effectiveness of The Nomad Group’s serviced offices’ communication infrastructure, which includes centralizing its communication server to one location, as well as deploying voice mobility and unified communications across its 12 serviced offices in Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and upcoming new centres. This exercise will be implemented in stages over 2 years.By migrating to a single integrated platform, maintenance will be simplified and maintenance cost will be reduced significantly. It will also give the management a detailed visibility into communications operations in each centre. Built-in reporting tools will also help the company track system assets and usage, plan for capacity needs, and control communications expenses.

“We chose TGS Enterprise Networks as our partner because of its proven solutions using Siemens’ IP telephony technology which is not only cost effective but also flexible in enabling quick implementation and solutions to our clients,” said Mr Roy George, Chief Executive Officer of The Nomad Group. According to Mr George another reason why TGS Enterprise Networks was selected is also because of the geographical location of its support offices, which is where The Nomad Group’s serviced offices are located.

The consolidation and streamlining of The Nomad Group’s communication system will commence with the migration of its PABX systems from various serviced offices to one centralised communication server located at The Nomad Offices Menara Prestige, Kuala Lumpur. This new centralised communication server is Siemens’ best-in-class converged IP system codenamed HiPath 4000. This system offers business process and workflow integration with scalability from 300 to 12,000 users on a single system and up to 100,000 users in a networked communication system. It is also ideal for offices with existing phone devices as it supports analogue, digital and IP phones.

With the implementation of this unified communication system, The Nomad Group’s serviced offices will enjoy savings on IDD calls with the least-cost routing feature using IP Phones and also the convenience of using the one number service with a single DID number throughout The Nomad Group’s network.

The deployment of the unified communication solutions and voice mobility will see greater cost savings for the company’s clients who opt for such services. The benefits include audio and video conferencing tools. The growing use of these network conferencing systems in the international business world could generate additional savings by reducing the need for business travel.

The unified communications system allows serviced offices under The Nomad Group to route most internal phone calls over the same Wide Area Network (WAN) while eliminating toll charges for local, long-distance, and international calls. It also provides the most convenient way to work from wherever clients are. With the various features, clients can easily access calls and data on their mobile devices. The system unifies multiple devices that publish only one phone number regardless of which phone the client uses. With this, clients no longer need to keep track of the multiple phone numbers of their businesses.

With a new communication system in place, serviced offices under The Nomad Group is poised to offer more innovative solutions to its clients.
