Kuala Lumpur, August 22, 2012 – It’s not often that photo enthusiasts get face-time with an internationally-acclaimed photographer listed as one of the 100 Most Important People in Photography. However, 90 passionate Nikon Club members did just that when they got to spend a day with Joe McNally, an award-winning expert who has shot cover stories for TIME, Fortune, LIFE, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Men’s Journal and many more.
The Nikon Club members received exclusive invitations to participate in the recent Nikon Photography Workshop where they had the opportunity to interact with Joe McNally, who shared his photographs and videos shots, photographic tips, reviews and critiques throughout his whole photography journey. And of course, there was also time to have a photo taken with Joe McNally and get his autograph at the end of the day.
Among the numerous awards Joe McNally has received include honours from American Photo, Communication Arts, the World Press Photo Foundation and American Photo. In 2010, Joe McNally was voted as one of the 30 Most Influential Photographers of the Decade in an industry-wide Photo District News survey. He has also won the first Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Journalist Impact for LIFE coverage entitled “The Panorama of War”,
