PC Expo 2012 celebrates year-end with colourful bargains

Shoppers to enjoy plenty of bargains & year-end offers at KL PC Expo 2012, Nov 2 - 4

OCTOBER 31, 2012, KUALA LUMPUR – The largest digital lifestyle sale in Penang will start this Friday at Penang PC Expo 2012.

Shoppers will be in for a treat this week at PC Expo 2012. More than 200 participating exhibitors are readying an impressive line-up of bargains and year-end offers for various digital lifestyle products like tablets, smartphones, ultrabooks, notebooks, digital media players and devices, digital cameras, large screen high definition monitors and more.

The second leg of the three-day Expo will start this Friday, November 2, at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) in Penang and Persada Johor International Convention Centre (PJICC) in Johor Bahru.

According EM Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd project director Jeslynn Wong Lee Chen, shoppers at the Expo this weekend should take advantage of bargains, year-end sale and promotional offers. “There are various activities. For example, the Expo at MVEC sees Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 106, 315) is offering its 18.5-inch monitor, which retails at RM315, at only RM99 and this translate into substantial savings.”

In addition, there are also offers Windows 8 pre-installed desktops and notebooks. The all-in-one HP Pavilion 20-b055d will be priced at RM1,899, bundled with a mobile charger worth RM150 and HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b010TU at RM1,399, bundled with HP External Optical Disc drive worth RM199.

Acer is organising “Acer Windows 8 Bonanza” where it will reward the first 100 customers who makes a purchase between 11:00am – 1:00pm with a RM100 goodie bag. Every purchase within this time qualifies for a “Lucky Dip” to can enjoy further discounts of up to RM500 and eligible for Acer’s “Speedy Sweep” contest which has more prizes.

Other interesting offers includes MAXX Pandora Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 329) for its Wi-Fi ready Pandora Fire Smart TV Box for RM488, a portable Internet media players or Inno Supply & Services Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 300) for its range of Internet Full HD Media Players ranging from RM169 to RM359.

Kao Sheng Distribution Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 209) will be offering discounts of up to 50 per cent for a wide range of accessories for smartphones like Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and tablets like the new iPad and more. Its star deal is RM89 for its 5400mAH smartphone Powerbank, which retails at RM129.

There are even offers for webcams and consumer walkie-talkies. For example Logi Computer Peripherals (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 117) or Logitech Malaysia will showcase its range of Windows 8 ready products. It will offer its pint-sized 1.3MP Logitech C110 Webcam at only RM29 (retails RM49) and V470 Cordless Notebook Mouse at RM69 (retails RM118). Shoppers who purchase RM50 and above can participate in Logitech Dip & Win, which has 1,500 prizes worth RM20,000 including a 32-inch LED television, iPod Shuffles, digital cameras and more.

Another exhibitor, Alcom Networks Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 325), will highlight two entry-level consumer walkie-talkies. It is offering the mid-range Motorola TLKR T6 at RM398 and longer range Motorola TLKR T8 at RM548.

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MVEC Booth 102) will organise Samsung Smart School sessions at the Expo. These are two to three hours, hands-on guided workshop to familiarise and teach participants about special features in Samsung tablets and smartphones. “This is very interesting and being organised for the first time at the Expo. It’s available on a first-come-first serve basis with plenty of goodies in store too,” she explained.

She said shoppers can look forward to interactive session featuring Windows 8 on the new all-in-one 27-inch touch-friendly desktop PC, Acer Aspire 7600U and on-the-go ultrabook, Acer Aspire S7. Shoppers can take advantage of Offers-of-the-Day like buy-1-free-1 deals for Western Digital external hard disks as well as Early Bird offers of RM29.90 for a Batman-themed PowerBank, RM118 for a Seagate Expansion 500GB Portable HDD, RM199 for a HP Laserjet P1102, RM388 for Garmin Nuvi 40LM, RM599 for a MSI Netbook and more.

More than 180,000 shoppers are expected at the Expo in MVEC. “We are organising many activities to reward shoppers,” she highlighted. These activities have more than RM50,000 worth of prizes like “Lucky Draw”; prizes include the new iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0”, Alcatel OT979 Special Edition Phone and Sony Hello Kitty Limited Edition Handycam, “Unlock and Win”; prizes include a Samsung Galaxy S3, and “Like, Share and Tag”; prizes include like an iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
