DiGi's Challenge for Change 2012 HACKATHON Open for Registrati­on


DiGi recently concluded the Ideation Phase of its Challenge for Change 2012 programme by announcing seven winners, including two ‘surprise wildcard ideas’. Challenge for Change is DiGi’s corporate responsibility program that invites Malaysians to work on mobile internet-based social innovations to benefit local communities. This year’s theme was “Bringing Malaysians Together, One App at a Time.”

In the next App Development phase of the challenge, local App developers are invited to participate in a 3-day HACKATHON to develop mobile apps based on these seven wining ideas. The best seven app developers will each be awarded RM25,000 in cash. The best idea for the overall challenge will also win an additional RM25,000 cash as recipient of the Prime Minister’s Innovation Award.

Details of the HACKATHON are as follows:

Date            :  22 to 24 March 2013
Time           :  6pm (Friday, 22 March) to 6pm (Sunday, 24 March)
Location     :  Town Hall, DiGi Office
    Lot 10, Jalan Delima 1/1, Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park,
    40000 Shah Alam, Selangor.
