Freelancer.com reinforces presence in Malaysia with focus on growing database of users

Meanwhile, statistics show that the jobs mostly originate from the Klang Valley, with Malaysian employers mainly hiring freelancers from South Asia. The leading source of freelancers is India with 27.87% of all hires, while the combined hires from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh total more than 45%. A large number of freelancers also originate from the United States, amounting to 9.62%. In line with the growth of ICT industries, the most popular project types awarded were for PHP, software architecture, MySQL and software testing, working out to 27% of all projects awarded.
