LG LAUNCHES NEW CINEMA SOUND HOME THEATRE SYSTEM AND ULTRA SLIM SOUND BAR WITH FLAWLESS ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 May 2013 – LG Electronics (LG) today announced the availability of its latest and most advanced Cinema Sound home theatre system to-date, the BH9530TW – an industry leading 9.1-channel system that delivers on premium sound quality comparable to that found in a movie theatre. LG also simultaneously launched its ultra slim NB4530A sound bar capable of producing compelling rich audio that makes it a great companion for premium large-screen TVs.

Industry-Leading Home Theatre System that Completes Your Entertainment Hub

LG’s latest high-series Cinema Sound home theatre system, the BH9530TW, combines a number of technologies to produce a richer and fuller surround sound.

The industry-leading system comes with a 9.1-channel speaker system with a 1,460W sound output which optimally distributes sound and delivers the rich surround audio effect that lets consumers feel they were in a cinema. This is achieved by adding four upright speakers on top of an existing 5.1channel home theatre system. These four upright multi-directional speakers play the role of ceiling speakers, which make sound so immersive in cinemas. Rear speakers come wireless, greatly reducing unsightly clutter that the usual tangle of cables and wires creates.

LG also opted for top quality materials like employing Aramid fibres – the same type of high resistance fabric used in Kevlar - in the construction of the speaker cones which helps reproduce purer sounds with minimal distortion especially for more mid-bass response.

The new LG Cinema Sound home theatre system also offers a wealth of connectivity options, including Miracast, which is based on Near Field Communication (NFC). Miracast allows users to wirelessly and seamlessly mirror content from smartphones or other external devices. The BH9530TW is also comes equipped with Smart TV capabilities and when connected to an Ultra HD TV, the Ultra HD up scaling feature takes ordinary content and renders it in clear, crisp Ultra HD (3,840 x 2,160) resolution.

The BH9530TW also offers a new convenience feature for late night viewing, the Private Sound Mode, which allow customers to feed the system’s sound directly to their smart phone to ensure that the rest of the family has an undisturbed night’s sleep. Unlike competitor products which require expensive Bluetooth headsets to enjoy a similar feature, LG’s Private Sound Mode is easily accessed via Wi-Fi.

Superb Audio Performance in an Ultra-Sleek Design

At only 35mm tall, LG’s NB4530A sound bar speaker system fits perfectly under any TV. Its sleek, modern design with premium black and silver finish was conceived to harmonise with the current crop of large-screen TVs.

The new LG sound bar houses high-performance 160W speakers within its compact frame, while its wireless subwoofer packs extra bass punch. LG has incorporated its latest 3D Surround Processor technology into the sound bar to create a stunningly real audio landscape. The wireless subwoofer is supported by HDMI with an Audio Return Channel (HDMI ARC) and the wireless audio streaming feature allows for Bluetooth streaming from multiple mobile devices including smartphones, tablets and laptops.

To further reduce the messiness of cables, this new sound bar from LG also comes with a wireless sound sync feature that connects to any of LG’s latest TVs without requiring additional cables.

The LG NB4530A sound bar also offers installation versatility, as it can be wall-mounted, positioned as a stand-alone unit, or placed in close proximity to the TV. This gives consumers more control over the home entertainment setup while providing flexibility for a tidy fit in any room.

The LG BH9530TW Cinema Sound home theatre system hits stores nationwide end May 2013 at the maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) of RM2,999.

The LG NB5430A sound bar will be available nationwide end May at RM1,299
