The company sponsors an exclusive screening of the movie, Epic
Kuala Lumpur, 23 May, 2013 –Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, recently hosted an exclusive screening for the animated movie, Epic, at TGV Sunway Pyramid, for its customers and the children of San Pedro Charity Home. Focused on making energy safe, reliable, efficient, productive and green, Schneider Electric carried out this initiative as part of an active commitment to help individuals and organizations make the most of their energy.
“The moral of the story is about conserving the environment and it relates perfectly with Schneider Electric’s corporate stance on energy efficiency and sustainability. The implementation of environmental-conscious policies requires complete and reliable product environmental impact information. In this context, Schneider Electric commits to inform and provide its customers with Product Environmental Profile (PEP) in full compliance to the ISO 14025 PEP eco-passport Program and for all its products and solutions,” said Chan Jian Wen, Enterprise Sales Manager of Schneider Electric IT Business Malaysia
Schneider Electric recently introduced its Green Premium Product range such as the Smart UPS models that are labeled with the Green Premium Product logo. This guarantees customers support for their environmental policies, as it helps calculate carbon footprint, anticipate and ensure full regulation compliance, especially chemicals, and make the eco design of solutions easier.
The Green Premium eco-mark allows IT managers a comprehensive view of their UPS environmental profile, enabling them to know exactly how much carbon the products will emit during usage, as well as how it affects land, water, and air around the IT room. Knowing this information before the purchase, implementation, and use of a product will allow tremendous gains to IT room operators.
UPS’s labeled with the Green Premium Eco will entice environmentally-conscious IT managers who monitor and manage the amounts of carbon produced from the operations of data and IT centers.
“With today’s global environmental concerns, it is important that we embrace environmentally friendly processes and policies with our newly designed products for businesses. New environmental trends, such as the need for global energy security, the desire for minimal product impact on the biodiversity, and increased social and regulatory pressures as a result of environmental, safety, and climate change concerns drive the adoption of eco-marks. We want our customers to recognize us as reliable ‘green’ partners,” explained Chan.
UPS is one of the most critical tools in data centers, supporting the vital power and cooling functions that are the lifeline of server and networking equipment – especially in the event of power outages and blackouts. As our world becomes increasingly driven by technology, the volume of energy-demanding, critical tasks performed by data centers and server rooms has increased tremendously. This, along with ongoing energy crisis and exponentially rising electricity prices, are strong demand drivers for energy efficient tools and operations.
“In light of this, Schneider Electric enjoyed having the children of San Pedro Charity Home and our customers join us today. We hope all of the children had a fun-filled evening and that this will increase awareness, and mould young Malaysians to discover ways to preserve, protect our environment, and help improve Malaysia’s ranking in environmental ratings, as part of the 12th Malaysia plan,” added Chan.
