New Application Delivers Support for HTML 5
Kuala Lumpur, 19 June 2013 - Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL), the world's leading IT solution provider and Java Community Process (JCP) members, today unveils the availability of Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 7 (Java EE 7) and the Java EE 7 Software Development Kit (SDK) to support HTML 5 and further increase developer productivity.
The new Java EE 7 features a scalable infrastructure that facilitates building HTML5 applications by reducing response times through low-latency, bi-directional communication with WebSockets. It simplifies data parsing and exchange and at the same time it can support many more users concurrently.
“Java EE continues to be popular with strong developer adoption. This is a great release with strong technology updates that meets the demands of today’s enterprises,” said Cameron Purdy, vice president of Development, Oracle.
“Oracle has a strong vested interest in the success of Java and we are firmly committed to working with the community to deliver a consistent, high-performance, high-quality Java EE implementation,” adds he.
To Meet Enterprises’ Demanding Requirements
Java EE 7 is a simplified application with a cohesive and integrated platform that reduces boiler-plate code using dependency injection and default resources, broadens the use of annotations to increase efficiency; and enhances application portability to help further increase developer productivity.
Its new features meet the most demanding enterprise requirements, such as breaking down batch jobs into manageable chunks for uninterrupted OLTP performance; defining multithreaded concurrent tasks easily for improved scalability; improving Managed Beans alignment (including transactional interceptors) and delivering transactional applications with choice and flexibility.
The Channels to Java EE7
Developers interested in getting started with the Java EE 7 release can leverage the NetBeans Integrated Development Environment (IDE) 7.3.1 to support Java EE 7 features including HTML 5 and Eclipse Kepler (4.3).
Java EE 7 New Features training is also available to help developers accelerate the transition and the Java EE 7 SDK offers a hands-on approach to learning the latest Java EE technologies.
