SingTel first to provide roaming customers with Auto Network Selection

• Network selection feature automatically connects roamers’ mobile devices to preferred partner networks
• Protects customers from accidental connection to providers outside partner networks
• Feature supports LTE roaming as well as 2G and 3G roaming

SingTel is the first mobile operator worldwide to provide customers with a network selection feature that automatically connects customers’ mobile devices to preferred partner networks when roaming. The service comes with SingTel’s DataRoam Saver plans and is based on Ericsson’s (NASDAQ: ERIC) Service-Aware Charging and Control solution. It ensures that data is only consumed when devices are connected to SingTel’s partner networks.
