FreedomFilmFestival (FFF) is Malaysia's most established annual human rights film festival. Established in 2003, the festival adopts the themes encompassed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and seeks to be a platform for filmmakers and activists to showcase their films and advocate their causes.

IN COMPETITION:
Eligibility:
Films from South East Asian countries completed in 2012/2013.
Format:
Documentary/Fiction/Animation.
Duration:
Under 60 mins.
Theme:
Switch On People Power/ Democracy and Equality.
Language:
Any language but must include English subtitles.
Entries from Malaysia must have both English/Bahasa M’sia subtitles.
Winner of the Justin Louis Award for the Best Human Rights Film will receive a
trophy and an all-expense-paid trip to Liepzig International Documentary and
Animation festival, in Germany. 3 Jury prizes – including a prize for
Best Malaysian entry. Winners will each receive USD1000 prize money and
other sponsored prizes .
NON COMPETITION SUBMISSIONS:
Eligibility:
Any human rights films with themes on Democracy and Equality.
No limitation to the year film was produced.
Format:
Documentary/Fiction/Animation.
Duration:
Under 60 mins is prefferred (but films of a longer duration will still be considered.)
Deadline for submission: 30 September 2013.
Festival dates: December 7-15, 2013
