Touch-screen conference devices integrate audio, video, meeting data and internet access
Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, 5 September 2013 – The market leader in security, safety, communications and sound products, solutions and services, Bosch Security Systems announces the launch of DCN multimedia, a revolutionary conference system that utilizes IP-based OMNEO media networking architecture and user-friendly touch screen conference devices based on the AndroidTM operating system.
Jacky Chuan, General Manager of Security Systems Division at Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd said, “DCN Multimedia is our latest range of conference systems that once again showcases the innovative edge of Bosch in developing holistic solutions for digital technology in the conference room. The system’s unmatched sound quality, interactive platforms and diverse practicality enables superior technical proficiency to facilitate effective communication.”
The DCN multimedia system features excellent sound quality that has come to be associated with the Bosch name. Voices sound completely natural thanks to the innovative high-directive technology in the unobtrusive microphone, along with the built-in, two-way loudspeaker system. Advanced audio settings allow for optimized room equalization, while integrated intelligent Acoustic Feedback Suppression supports higher volumes with maximum speech intelligibility.
As an IP-based system built on the OMNEO media networking architecture, DCN multimedia makes use of fully standardized network technology for ease of integration, cost-effective installation and easy maintenance. In addition, the system enables easy expansion with OMNEO audio devices and a wide range of audio products supporting DanteTM technology. Enhanced functionalities can also be added to the multimedia conference devices via software and integrating third-party or custom-made apps. Audio and control data transmitted through the system is also encrypted in accordance with internationally recognized standards. This means that it is securely protected against tampering and unauthorized access.
“Standard and open technologies can be combined with multimedia capabilities for an enhanced meeting experience. This makes the DCN multimedia system a forward-looking investment in future-proof communication solutions,” added Jacky.
DCN multimedia is specifically catered for city and regional councils, as well as for government and corporate boardrooms. The system was launched at this year’s fair Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany in April 2013 prior to its release in this third quarter of 2013.
