Axis introduces outdoor-ready 360° panoramic camera for cost-efficient overview surveillance

Axis Communications, the market leader in network video surveillance, today launches the compact and competitively priced AXIS M3027-PVE, a 5-megapixel fixed dome that offers a 360° or 180° overview of wide areas. The IK10 vandal resistant, day/night network camera is designed for indoor as well as outdoor use. Examples of suitable installations are inside or outside hotels, boutiques, restaurants and offices.

“With the introduction of AXIS M3027-PVE, we further strengthen our lineup of discreet and affordably priced fixed domes by adding a 360° / 180° panoramic outdoor-ready video surveillance solution. AXIS M3027-PVE, which is the latest addition to the lineup of outdoor-ready AXIS M30-VE cameras, can be mounted on ceilings, soffits or under porches for a 360° overview and on walls for a 180° view. The camera provides de-warped views such as panorama, double panorama and quad views, as well as view area modes where users can digitally pan, tilt and zoom in on areas of interest. Multiple streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG can be sent simultaneously. AXIS M3027-PVE offers I/O ports for connection to external devices.

All cameras in the AXIS M30 Series come focused at delivery, which means short installation time. They support Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), which eliminates the need for power cables and reduces installation costs.

AXIS M3027-PVE offers considerable support for the installation of intelligent video applications through AXIS Camera Application Platform. Further, the camera’s built-in microSDHC card slot enables several days of recording to be stored locally on a memory card. Using local storage together with the complimentary AXIS Camera Companion video management software provides users with an easy solution to remotely view and manage video from up to 16 cameras per site.

Axis Launches Nitrogen-pressurized Stainless Steel HDTV PTZ Dome Cameras

The new top-of-the-line AXIS Q60-S PTZ Dome Network Cameras in nitrogen-pressurized stainless steel casings are ideal for surveillance and remote monitoring applications in marine, mining, oil and gas environments, as well as food, medical and clean room manufacturing facilities. The rust-free cameras can resist the corrosive effect of sea water and cleaning chemicals, and withstand high-pressure steam cleaning. Pressurized nitrogen prevents internal condensation.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, today launched three outdoor-ready, marine-grade stainless steel cameras that enable 360° coverage of wide areas in resolutions up to HDTV 1080p and great zoomed-in detail with up to 36x optical zoom.

AXIS Q60-S cameras, with SAE 316L stainless steel and a nylon clear dome cover, can operate in -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F). All AXIS Q60-S cameras support shock detection, which mechanically detects and triggers an alarm if the camera has been hit. Axis Communications Reveals AXIS Camera Companion 2.1, Adds 3-megapixel/HDTV Model to Fixed Mini Dome and Launches Extended Warranty Option for Network Video Products

AXIS M3026-VE Network Camera is a small and affordably priced, outdoor-ready and vandal-resistant fixed dome with 3-megapixel resolution, day/night functionality and enhanced capacity for video streaming and intelligent video applications. The latest in the AXIS M30 Series to be launched, AXIS M3026-VE is ideal for installations at hotels, gas stations, restaurants, offices and schools, in areas that are sometimes dark and in need of a wide-angle, light-sensitive, day/night camera.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, today presents AXIS M3026-VE, which provides 3-megapixel and HDTV 1080p video with a 106° horizontal angle of view. AXIS M3026-VE has an automatically removable infrared-cut filter, which enables the camera to capture colour video during daytime conditions and make use of infrared (IR) light in low-light conditions for high-quality black and white video.

It also comes focused at delivery, which shortens the installation time. It has a 2 m (6.6 ft.) network cable and is powered using Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af). A separate outdoor housing is not required as the camera is outdoor-ready with IP66 and NEMA 4X ratings, which ensure protection against dust, rain and snow. The camera also has an IK10 rating for resistance against impacts.

Unlike analog surveillance installations, AXIS Camera Companion does not require a central recording device – a digital video recorder (DVR), network video recorder (NVR), or even a computer. All images are recorded onto a standard SD memory card in each camera, and the cameras keep recording even if the network fails. The cameras are powered over the network, eliminating the need for separate power cables. This reduces cost, simplifies installation, and makes the system more robust as there is no single point of failure. Axis Reveals New Video Encoders for Cost-effective Migration

The new video encoders, AXIS M7016 and AXIS P7216, make migration from analog systems to a network video solution more cost-effective and flexible than ever. The new 16-channel video encoders offer full frame rate at all resolutions and, for ease-of-installation, a single Ethernet port serving all 16 channels.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, today reveals two strong additions to its line of video encoders. Offering full frame rate, the new AXIS M7016 provides an attractive, cost-effective and easy entry to network video. The new flexible AXIS P7216 in addition offers audio, I/O and is equipped with an SFP slot, which enables the use of fiber optics. The SFP slot also provides the possibility for network redundancy. If the SFP module failed, data traffic would automatically switch over to the Ethernet port. These new video encoders have been developed to meet the needs for small to medium-sized installations, within retail for example.

Axis Introduces Innovative, Direct Drive HDTV PTZ Dome Camera

AXIS P5414-E PTZ Dome Network Camera is the first of a new line of outdoor-ready pan/tilt/zoom cameras with an intelligent direct drive pan/tilt system for unsurpassed mechanical endurance. This, together with other hardware innovations, has resulted in an attractively priced, uniquely designed HDTV 720p PTZ dome with 18x optical zoom for outdoor wall-mount surveillance installations—ideal for use in city and perimeter surveillance, parking houses and school yards.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, today presents a direct drive PTZ camera with few moving parts. The camera is directly attached to the drive shaft of two motors—one for panning and another for tilting the camera. With no mechanical parts such as belts or gears, AXIS P5414-E’s durable and highly efficient pan/tilt system provides customers with a reliable, low-maintenance PTZ camera. Other innovations include a built-in wall bracket that eliminates the need to purchase a separate mounting accessory. Axis Introduces Affordable 360° Panoramic Cameras for Superb Overviews Surveillance

Axis Communications, the global market leader in network video, today presents 360° fixed mini dome cameras with a 5 megapixel sensor that enables detailed, high-quality 360° or 180° panoramic views of wide areas. The competitively priced indoor AXIS M3007-PV and AXIS M3007-P Network Cameras provide retail stores, hotels, schools and offices with cost-effective solutions to getting wide overviews that help users detect activities and track the flow of people.

Axis Communications, the world leader in network video, has launched an improved version of AXIS Camera Management, a powerful tool for installation and management of Axis network video products. The tool supports central management of Axis cameras in a single or multi-site system, enabling both easy distribution of applications to multiple cameras and efficient management of network video cameras for security installers and system administrators.

AXIS Camera Management is designed for efficient management of network video installations that use Axis network video products. The tool can be scaled to handle thousands of Axis network cameras and video encoders and by implementing the tool at multiple sites, all cameras can be managed from one central location. Based on standard network protocols and methods and with an intuitive user interface, AXIS Camera Management allows installers and administrators to easily configure, maintain and upgrade single or multiple video units.
