CHEE CHOON FEI EMERGED GRAND PRIZE WINNER AT THE INTEL MULTIPLY MY LIFE DANCE CONTEST
KUALA LUMPUR, June 26, 2007 — The Intel Multiply My Life Dance Contest Grand Finals concluded with a bang when Chee Choon Fei was announced grand prize winner. Choon Fei beat five other finalists to walk away with an all-expense paid trip for four to the Moon Dance Festival in Thailand and an Intel Core 2 Duo powered- notebook computer.
Intel’s Multiply My Life Dance Contest which started in April is part of a campaign to accentuate Intel’s high-performing processor – the Intel Core 2 Duo – a processor which personifies the multi-faceted computing needs of today’s consumers. The six finalists were selected from 400 participants who were chosen based on an online voting system on http://www.hitz.fm/.
“We received an overwhelming number of submissions from the public to participate in the Intel Multiply My Life Dance Contest. The participants related very well to the dance element as it showcased the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo capability of filming, editing and producing dance steps in a matter of minutes; demonstrating the powerful benefits of the chip that delivers up to 40% more performance at up to 40% energy efficiency,” said Norhizam Kadir, Marketing Manager, Intel Malaysia.
Grand prize winner Choon Fei was thrilled at his win. “I am extremely excited as my effort in choreographing the dance and weeks of practice paid off in the end. I look forward to the trip to Thailand and my new Intel Core 2 Duo notebook. I was able to experience the prowess of the Intel Core 2 Duo processor during the competition and I am very impressed with its multitasking abilities at top performance.
Other highlights of the evening were a live dance performance by TV personality and professional dancer, Jojo Struys and a Shuffle Dance Contest that was opened to the guests. Nicolas Nathan Arul was chosen as winner of the Shuffle Dance Contest, based on his unique appearance, accurate timing, distinctive choreography and the ability to connect his dance routine with the ‘Multiply’ theme. Emcee of the night Joey G kept everybody’s spirit high with his upbeat banter. The judging panel was made up of Cekiel Danielson, SEA Marketing Manager for Intel Electronics, Sam Vijendra, General Manager of Maison and Soame Phon, Principal of Dance Connexions.
