CA EXPO 2007 Delves into Challenges of Growth and Innovation for Malaysian Businesses

Kuala Lumpur, July 25, 2007 – The much anticipated CA EXPO 2007 kicked off today at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur after months of planning and preparation. Themed, Driving Growth and Innovation in the REAL World, CA EXPO 2007 offers an unmatched opportunity for CA customers and partners in Malaysia to gain deeper insights into industry trends and get an up-close view of CA’s portfolio of management software.

“Driving Growth and Innovation are two crucial issues that are at the top of our attention in the midst of globalization and progressive market liberalization. Growth is no longer an option in our competitive world today, it is the lifeline of business. In the REAL world, growing enterprises will thrive and the shrinking ones disappear,” said Queenie Wong, Managing Director of CA Malaysia at the CA EXPO 2007 Welcome Address today. “However, the REAL challenge is to create a sustainable business growth for long-term survival.”

Wong pointed out that businesses today are operating in the challenging world of multiple platforms, rapid changes, and constant demand for profitability. They face issues and roadblocks daily in striving to meet their objectives. Therefore, real solutions are needed to meet these challenges and business goals. “We believe that real innovation is happening in the management of complex IT environments where businesses and CA work together. We see real innovation when businesses address the challenges head on in governing, managing and securing IT environments,” she emphasized.

As the single largest gathering of CA customers, attended by about 500 CA customers, partners and IT business professionals in Malaysia, CA EXPO 2007 is a platform for the exchange of minds on IT management issues unique to the Malaysian IT industry. It also provides insights into new ways to secure and grow enterprises in the local culture and business environment.

The presence of local and international renowned industry professionals such as Dato' Mukhriz Mahathir from Opcom Holdings Bhd, Ong Wee Jong from Maybank, Alan Goon from ING Malaysia, Adel Melek from Deloitte, Brian Johnson and many more, has paved the way for stimulating discussions on the complexity and demands of the current business environment.

The highlight of CA EXPO 2007 is the C-Level Executive Management Forum that is held concurrently with the main sessions. Targeted at selected top management executives and decision makers, the panel discussion in the Forum provides essential insight into how C-Level Executives deals with issues on IT Governance in their organizations.

Besides that, CA EXPO 2007 also focused on different areas that are vital for IT Management such as Business Service Optimization, Enterprise System Management, Security Management, Storage and Information Management, and IT Governance.
