JOHOR FOLKS GETS A GLIMPSE OF TM'S ‘DIGITAL LIFESTYLE’ SHOWCASE

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) visited Johor Bahru last weekend where Johoreans were given a glimpse into TM’s digital lifestyle, which included a showcase of its new video content portal, Hypp.TV.

Hypp.TV offers premium online video content related to news, lifestyle and entertainment under its four channels. The News Channel provides content from DW-TV, one of the world’s leading news providers, while its local lifestyle and entertainment channel named Local Scene, focuses on fashion, food, extreme sports and celebrities. The Sports Channel is currently featuring Barclays Premier League content, while the latest addition to Hypp.TV, which is Aniworkz, showcases the creative animation works of students from local universities. All Hypp.TV content aside from the exclusive Barclays Premier League content are available free-of-charge.

The portal, which serves as a complement to BlueHyppo.com, TM’s main lifestyle portal was launched last month.

The ‘UrbanLive’ roadshow, powered by Streamyx, highlights various broadband applications available through TM’s main lifestyle portal, BlueHyppo.com, which encompasses games, music, news, education and communication channels targeted at the younger market, who are keen to embrace the digital lifestyle. BlueHyppo.com has over one million members and acts as a hub for locally developed content with various lifestyle channels and services on news, music, online games, finance, travel, fashion, entertainment, arts & culture, technology, video content and much more.

To enjoy this exclusive content, existing Streamyx customers can sign up for the Barclays Premier League video content at RM9.90 for a one-month subscription or RM24.90 for a three-month subscription. Non-Streamyx subscribers can also enjoy this service at RM14.90 for a one-month subscription or RM39.90 for a three-month subscription.

Among the activities that took place at the ‘UrbanLive’ event in Aeon Tebrau City, Johor Bahru on August 18 and 19 were BlueHyppo.com’s content showcase, celebrity meet-and-greet sessions, lucky draws for new Streamyx subscribers and various stage activities, which included cultural dance performances like the Dayak and Buluh dances.

Visitors to UrbanLive, Aeon Tebrau, Johor Bahru were also given the opportunity to sign-up for the Streamyx Merdeka Bash package, the latest Streamyx promotion from TM. It offers Streamyx 1.0Mbps broadband connection at a reduced subscription price of RM77 per month with various free content like e-browse newspaper and magazines, online games, B-smart Britannica Encyclopaedia and many more. The ‘UrbanLive’ roadshow kicked off in April at Petaling Jaya, where BlueHyppo celebrated its sixth anniversary celebrations. It continued to Ipoh, Penang and the previous leg was in KL.

TM will be participating in the last two stops of ‘UrbanLive’ roadshow, which will be held at the following dates and locations:
