Solutions from F5 Networks Achieve SAP® Certified Integration for Application Delivery and WAN Optimization

Kuala Lumpur, 18 Sept 2007 – F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced that its BIG-IP® Local Traffic Manager (LTM) version 9 with WebAccelerator™ and the FirePass® SSL VPN Controller version 6 have achieved SAP® Certified Integration for third-party networking appliances that interoperate with SAP solutions using the SAP NetWeaver® platform and an enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA). Enterprise SOA enables customers to create a highly-flexible, open IT architecture for developing services-based, enterprise-scale business solutions. Customers rely on F5 products for the uninterrupted delivery of business-critical applications, including solutions from SAP AG. This achievement of certified integration demonstrates F5’s commitment to interoperability within SAP application-based landscapes.

SAP has recently added new network integration certification scenarios around Application Delivery and WAN Optimization to its integration certification program based on increased demand by customers for solutions in these areas. Certification was overseen by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) and conducted at the SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) in Palo Alto, California. The SAP ICC has certified that BIG-IP LTM with WebAccelerator and the FirePass SSL VPN Controller from F5 Networks meet certain certification criteria in the areas of security, performance, reliability, and availability.

SAP Certified Integration status of BIG-IP LTM with WebAccelerator was granted based on the following certification categories:
· Network Performance Optimization for Enterprise SOA
· Network Security for Enterprise SOA-based Solutions
· Enterprise SOA Landscapes Access Reliability and Availability through Networks

SAP Certified Integration status of FirePass was granted based on the following certification category:
· Network Security for Enterprise SOA-based Solutions
The certification of BIG-IP LTM with WebAccelerator and FirePass marks the latest of several ongoing collaborations between SAP and F5 (including F5’s Application Ready Network for use with SAP solutions), which continue to deepen the relationship between the two companies.
