IBM對2008年財政預算案的回應

Budget comments: IBM Malaysia Managing Director, IBM Malaysia:

Investment in human capital developmentis critical for improving innovation and ensuring the emergence of a morecreative and skilled workforce. Within the IT industry, the value is movingup the chain. The focus is no longer on products but on people and skills.
Therefore, IBM welcomes the increasedfunding for skills and further education. We are also happy to see theGovernment announcing more incentives under Budget 2008 to boost the adoptionof innovation for corporate Malaysia.
Measures such as the setting-upof Knowledge Workers Development Institute to meet the high demand of knowledgeICT workers; further supports the government's commitment to pursue thepath of being a country equipped with leading ICT innovation under the9th Malaysia Plan.
The budget also encourages collaborationas platform for innovation between private companies and Academia to incorporatepractical learning. Government training agenciesshould also look at partnering with private companies to accelerate thedevelopment of skills in order to meet the current demand.
IBM will continue to take onthe responsibility of leading and driving the implementation of learningprograms to develop human capital and build a skilled workforce throughexternal collaboration.
