Yoshiaki Otsuka is Brother International Malaysia’s New Leader

Petaling Jaya, October 30, 2008 – Celebrating 100 years of success in 2008, Brother International, a leader in home and business IT peripherals, has strengthened its bid to establish itself as a market leader in Malaysia with the appointment of Yoshiaki Otsuka as Director for Brother International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. Mr. Otsuka will be responsible for the company’s overall operations in Malaysia. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Otsuka held various senior management positions within the Brother group, most recently as the Chief of World Wide Corporate Sales Workgroup, where he was responsible for customers in Europe; evangelised Brother’s success stories and expanded the business in the corporate sector.

He joined Brother International Corp., Japan in April 1992 with the task of growing the Latin American business in which he helped transformed the fax machine business in Brazil. He was later promoted to become the General Manager of Brother International Corporation do Brazil LTDA in 2001.

“Brother International has seen tremendous growth over its seven years of operation in Malaysia. I am excited to continue the expansion in Malaysia and to bring Brother’s motto “At Your Side” to greater heights here,” said Mr. Otsuka.

Born in Gifu, Japan in 1968, Mr. Otsuka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Portuguese and Economics from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies.
