New Bosch Diesel Centre by Tan Hup Seng ranked 1st Class in Malaysia

Melaka, 12 December 2008: Today, Bosch Malaysia and Tan Hup Seng Fuel Pump Company (Tan Hup Seng) unveiled the new Bosch Diesel Centre (BDC) with specialist capability to handle all diesel systems in Melaka. This latest BDC scores two “firsts” as the only centre to have achieved 1st Performance Class in Malaysia, and first in South East Asia (SEA) complete with a Clean Room Concept.

This ranking by Bosch Malaysia was accorded to Tan Hup Seng after 24 months of intensive assessment. The stringent assessment is based on the high standard set by the Bosch Group worldwide.

At the official opening of the new BDC, Alexander Haid, Director of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Division, ASEAN, said, “We are proud that a Malaysian company has become the first in Southeast Asia to attain the 1st Performance Class BDC standard. While one of our top priorities is to grow our Bosch Car and Diesel Service network, we also strive to set high quality and service standards for our vendors.”

With the latest addition, Bosch now has a Car and Diesel Service network comprising 90 Bosch Car Service representatives, 39 Bosch Diesel Service representatives and three Bosch Diesel Centres in Malaysia.

“Come 2009, we will begin a series of third party certification in place of the Service Quality Audits conducted in-house on all Bosch Diesel Centres and Bosch Car Service representatives. This will ensure that all facilities match up to Bosch’s standard in terms of equipment, cleanliness, corporate image, uniform and training provided. So when you send your vehicle to be serviced by a Bosch workshop or centre, you can be rest assured that you that it will be taken care of by professionals,” added Haid.

Explaining the significance of converting his operations to a full-fledged BDC, Tan Thiam Huat, owner and Managing Director of Tan Hup Seng Fuel Company said, “The opening of the new BDC in Melaka is a long way from our first foray into the diesel services specialist business when we established ourselves as a Bosch Diesel Service representative in 1982. We have fully equipped our facilities and put in place trained personnel to provide our customers in the Melaka area the convenience of a one-stop service centre for all their diesel systems needs including locomotives, trucks, buses and trailers.”

It took Tan Hup Seng a total of 24 months and an investment of over RM500,000 to convert the existing premises of 552m2 into a top-notched BDC. “Our facility features a Clean Room which ensures a dust-free working environment for the effective repair and testing of high pressure diesel fuel injection components,” added Tan. Apart from the Bosch Training Centre in Petaling Jaya, this is the only Clean Room Concept in Malaysia.

Welcoming the new Tan Hup Seng Fuel Pump Company’s BDC into the Bosch Diesel Service Network, Woon Kim Hwa, General Manager of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Division said, “I believe our partnership with Tan Hup Seng, a respected company with strong local knowledge, will provide diesel users with the highest standard of service and professionalism that only a state-of-the-art centre such as this is able to provide. Since there has never been a proper Common Rail injector servicing facility here in Malaysia due to the lack of Clean Rooms, the new BDC will set a new benchmark in diesel servicing.”

Tan Hup Seng设立马来西亚一级博世柴油系统服务中心

(马六甲12日讯)马来西亚博世与Tan Hup Seng Fuel Pump Company (Tan Hup Seng) 携手于马六甲打造了全新的博世柴油系统服务中心(BDC);这也是具备专业柴油系统维修技术水平的服务中心。这间全新的 BDC 缔造了两项“第一”,既是马来西亚的最顶级的柴油系统服务中心,也是东南亚区域首间落实净化室概念的柴油系统服务中心。

马来西亚博世是根据全球博世集团所设定的高超标准,同时对Tan Hup Seng进行了长达两年的密集评估,才授予以上的等级。

在BDC 的开业礼上, 博世东盟汽车售后市场部总监Alexander Haid表示,Tan Hup Seng这家马来西亚公司,能够成为东南亚首间达致BDC一级标准的公司,的确让他深感自豪。他也说,虽然博世的首要任务是拓展博世汽车及柴油系统维修服务,但是博世也致力为供应商拟定品质及服务标准。

他披露,博世目前在马来西亚的汽车及柴油系统维修网络涵盖九十位汽车维修代表、三十九位博世柴油系统维修代表及三间博世柴油系统服务中心。

他补充道,踏入2009年,博世将担任第三方鉴定单位,以取代内部维修品管审核,监管所有博世柴油系统服务中心及博世汽车维修中心代表。这将能确保所有设施包括配件器材、干净程度、企业形象都能符合博世的要求及标准,同时也会提供制服及培训予有关代表。因此,当人们把汽车送到博世的维修厂或中心时,将能全然放心地把自己的汽车交给专业的维修人员。

询及将运作方式转换成BDC 的动机时,Tan Hup Seng Fuel Company 持有人兼执行总监Tan Thiam Huat表示,该公司打从1982年,就已经担任博世柴油服务代表,而如今终于得以在马六甲设立BDC并涉足专业的柴油系统服务,一路走来,这是一个漫长的征途。他续说,公司拥有完善齐全的设备及训练有素的人员,为马六甲的顾客提供便利的一站式维修服务,这包括了火车、卡车、巴士及拖车的柴油系统。

他也指出,Tan Hup Seng耗时两年并斥资五十万令吉,才将552平方尺的维修站改装成一级的BDC。“我们的维修中心采用了净化室概念,以便营造一个无尘工作环境,让维修和测试高压柴油喷射系统的工作,能更有效地进行。” 他也说道,除了位于八打灵市的博世培训中心之外,这是马来西亚唯一采用净化室概念的维修中心。

博世汽车售后市场部总经理Woon Kim Hwa欢迎Tan Hup Seng Fuel Pump Company的BDC加入成为博世柴油系统维修网络的一分子。他对博世和Tan Hup Seng的合作关系充满信心。他形容Tan Hup Seng是一家在本地深扎根基、同时备受推崇的公司。他相信Tan Hup Seng将能为柴油使用者提供先进维修中心的优质及专业服务。而之前因为马来西亚缺乏净化室,所以并不能进行常规的共轨喷油泵维修服务;而如今BDC在这方面已经开启了一个新的里程碑。
