Lars Lawson Returns to the Silver Screen and Small Screen

Animated characters from Lawson Software bring more fun to the world of enterprise software

April 20, 2009 – He has single-handedly rescued an animated enterprise software customer from near annihilation by ERP giants. He’s rescued animals and even prevented a holiday disaster. This time, Lars Lawson rises to the occasion when an enterprise software customer loses his beloved pet cat. Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today debuted the latest animated short film featuring Lawson’s own cartoon character, Lars Lawson, to customers and attendees at the 2009 Lawson Conference and User Exchange (CUE) in San Diego.

Moments before Lawson President and CEO Harry Debes took to the CUE mainstage to address Lawson customers, the company unveiled the latest animated tale – and released it online at the same time. The latest in a series of Lars Lawson animated stories features the hero, Lars Lawson, lending a helping hand to an animated Lawson customer whose pet cat is missing. In the true Lawson fashion, Lars devises a simple solution to the customer’s difficult and painful challenge.

“This video provides a good message for lean times,” noted Travis White, senior vice president of marketing for Lawson. “Some of our customers affected by the recession try the same old solutions. Other customers see the recession as an opportunity – a chance to do something different and change things for the better. It’s an important lesson, but one that we sometimes forget. As always, Lars is here to help.”
