PlayStation Store is now Available in Malaysia

Expanding PlayStation®Network Service To PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable)

Malaysia, – Sony Malaysia, appointed by Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Limited (SCEH) announces today that PlayStation®Store will be available for PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) in June 2009 in Malaysia. Through network connected PS3 and PSP, users will be able to download and to purchase games and related items for game titles directly from PlayStation®Store with their PlayStation®Network accounts.

PlayStation®Network is a free-to-access* interactive environment where you can play online games, chat with your friends and family around the world and surf the web. PlayStation®Network service includes the followings.

Now you can be one of the first to download the latest free demos of upcoming game titles and exclusive game titles for PS3® and PSP® along with other cool extras such as:

1. Free game trials:
- inFAMOUS
2. PlayStation®Network Exclusive PS3™ downloadable games:
- Trash Box; Flower™; Rag Doll Kung Fu™: Fists of Plastic

To register a PlayStation®Network account:
1. Select PlayStation®Network icon on XMB and sign up.
2. Select “Country/Malaysia” then language.
3. Select Sign-In ID, complete your password and security question, build your Online ID and simply filling in your personal details.
4. Select your favorite Avatar.

With a steady increase in the number of registered PlayStation Network accounts in Asian region, SCEH will continue to further enhance network services for both game and non-game entertainment content.

In conjunction with the launch of PlayStation® Store today, Sony Malaysia also created a PlayStation® Friend programme for the fans of PlayStation®. The PlayStation® Friend serves as a platform for members to get to know about the latest news and happenings related to PlayStation such as event highlights, member benefits and privileges, promotions and many more.
