Search Trends revealed what Malaysians traditionally look for online, with search activity dominated by enquiries focused on Christmas greetings, pictures, wall paper, all targeted towards sharing Christmas wishes for near and dear ones. Spikes on searches for New Year prayers and resolutions are evident in the New Year Searches on Yahoo! Malaysia.

1. Doa awal dan akhir tahun (end-of-year and new-year prayer): Spiking the highest on Yahoo! Malaysia, searches on the New Year dominate the searches. As the year ends, users search for ideas on end-of-year and new-year prayer examples seem to be on the top of mind for most Malaysians.

2. New Year greetings: New Year is the time to keep-in-touch with family, relatives and friends, near and far, with well-wishes for the New Year evident in Yahoo! Malaysia.

3. Christmas pictures: Christmas pictures are most probably used to create a greeting card and just adding in the wishes/greetings on top or at the bottom of the image.
