U Mobile Celebrates Arrival of New Devices and New Supplementary Line with Customers at Flagship Store

Kuala Lumpur, 5 December 2011 – Festive mood and joyous celebrations kicked-off early at U Mobile’s flagship store in Berjaya Times Square as U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco service provider, held a day of celebrations with its customers in a cosy and exclusive affair on Saturday.

Scrumptious food, drinks as well as exclusive mobile accessory premiums added copious flavours to the celebration that was held in conjunction of the telco’s latest offerings of the newest and most sought-after gadgets, the Blackberry Bold 9790 and Samsung GALAXY Tab 7 Plus.

Commenting on the festivities, Dr. Kaizad Heerjee, CEO of U Mobile Sdn Bhd said, “We’re delighted to be able to frequently provide our customers with continuous value-add experiences. We were the first telco in this country to open the lines for pre-registrations for these very much sought after devices to our consumers and saw tremendous response with over 600 interests in just 3 days!

The celebration also saw the introduction of U Mobile’s new Supplementary Line which is available to all U Mobile postpaid subscribers from as low as RM15 for each line with 5 hours of free calls from U Mobile to U Mobile number. Coupled with U Mobile’s U28 Postpaid plan, anyone can enjoy two postpaid lines from just as low as RM43.

The new supplementary offering is a continuation of U Mobile’s recently launched postpaid plans, allowing anyone to take advantage of the most affordable entry fee for data usage and enjoy free calls and free SMS while avoiding bill shock and expensive monthly fee commitment.

“We hope that in the long run, our postpaid offerings will bust the myth that postpaid plans are expensive, and are therefore, only for the mature market,” said Dr. Kaizad.
Fan Kok Wang, the first customer to purchase the new Samsung GALAXY Tab 7 Plus from U Mobile, was registering his device and his preferred plan at U Mobile’s flagship store in Berjaya Times Square.

During this festive season, subscribers who signed up for U Mobile postpaid line, U28, U58 or U88, and download 2 festive songs to their mobile phones will receive Christmas music CDs by Justin Bieber, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, GLEE and Josh Groban.

Also present at the festive get-together was Fan Kok Wang, who is the first U Mobile customer to own a Samsung GALAXY Tab 7 Plus, which he purchased at the event on Saturday.
