Ingram Micro to Distribute Silver Peak WAN Optimization throughout Asia Pacific

Leading IT Distributor to Support Growing Demand for Virtual and Data Center WAN Optimization Products in Key Asia Pacific Markets

Singapore. May 31, 2012 – Silver Peak Systems and Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) today announced distribution agreements across Asia Pacific (APAC) that include offering Silver Peak’s leading data center class wide area network (WAN) optimization products to resellers and customers in Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Silver Peak virtual and physical appliances provide the highest-capacity and most comprehensive options for deploying WAN optimization anywhere—from data centers, to branch offices, and to the cloud. Silver Peak’s Virtual Acceleration Open Architecture (VXOA) also aligns well with Ingram Micro’s virtual infrastructure offerings from companies such as VMware (vSphere), Citrix (XenServer), Microsoft (Hyper-V), and KVM. This enables enterprises throughout Asia Pacific to accelerate and optimize IT initiatives while reducing WAN infrastructure costs, including added costs for multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Internet virtual private networking (VPN) and satellite WANs common to the region.
