Malaysia IT Fair 2012 Returns in Klang Valley

Kuala Lumpur, August 31, 2012 –Malaysia IT Fair returns to the Klang Valley for second time this year due to overwhelming response.

Themed ‘Bringing I.T. closer to you’, the three-day fair which was organised by Unified Distribution Technologies Sdn Bhd showcased global brands, making it among the most extensive I.T. fairs in the country, with loads of special offers for technology-obsessed Klang Valley folks.

The fair, dubbed the ‘only security-focused tech fair’ through its collaboration with main sponsor Kaspersky Lab, a leading global security solutions provider, offers the brand’s award-winning software products at preferential prices.

Aside from bargains and special offers on technology products and accessories, Malaysia IT Fair featured a wide range of exciting activities including Happy Hour Promotions that offers the Tech Titan T-Drive Pro 8GB, the world’s first portable security solution powered by Kaspersky Lab, at just RM1.

To equip more people with a secure flash drive with security solution, Malaysia IT Fair is offering the Tech Titan T-Drive Pro 6 in 1 Package at RM 130 (RSP: RM 179) with Kaspersky Internet Security for 3 users, throughout the three days event.

Other Happy Hour offers include wireless mouse at RM9.90 Western Digital Portable Hard Drive at RM129, WayWay Navigator powered by Papago at RM188 and MSI Enjoy Plus 7 Tablet selling at RM299.

According to Mr. Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director, SEA, Kaspersky Lab, the brand is back as the main sponsor to reach more people across the nation with a message of a safer digital lifestyle, this time by educating and offering a better solution to the easily infected USB drives that go on to spread  malware to other devices.

“Kaspersky Lab is powering the Tech Titan T-Drive Pro and making this secure USB drive solution available to more people. As threats become more pervasive with the risk of loss of corporate and personal data as well as malware that specifically targets the victims savings and credit cards, people need to be more careful and protect all their devices including USB drives. With the Kaspersky Lab powered Tech Titan T-Drive Pro we are bringing just such a solution to Malaysians through the Malaysia IT Fair,” Mr Fong said.

Malaysia IT Fair 2012 will include a motivational seminar by Dato K.S. Pua, a successful entrepreneur on ‘Driven to Success’ his story of being a farmer’s son from Sekinchan who invented the world’s first single chip USB flash drive and went on to build Phison Electronics Corp, a billion dollar company.
