HP Powers Productivity with New Line-Up of Devices, Solutions, Services for Businesses

BEIJING, China, June 25, 2013 — HP today announced an expanded portfolio of printing and personal systems products and solutions designed to help organizations save time and resources.

The new offerings integrate seamlessly into existing enterprise environments and advance the speed of the organization by increasing efficiency in creating, accessing and consuming content.

New HP Pro and HP Elite series desktop PCs, including space-saving commercial all-in-ones (AiOs) with rich multimedia and optional touch screens, act as the hub of enterprise productivity. The new HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format e-All-in-One printer also extends a wide spectrum of business inkjet printers, led by the revolutionary HP Officejet Pro X series that can print up to twice the speed and half the printing cost compared to laser printers.(1,2)

Additionally, HP introduced new solutions that aid growth and efficiency. They include new features for targeted customer communications via HP Exstream, secure, mobile printing with HP ePrint Enterprise, as well as a mobile point-of-sale solution based on the HP ElitePad, HP’s first tablet built for business (3). HP also unveiled a new suite of services – HP Page Plan, HP Priority Services, HP Deployment Services, and Mixed Asset Recovery Services – to maximize productivity for businesses.

“Organizations need every advantage they can get to stay competitive and continue growing and thriving,” said Nick Lazaridis, acting senior vice president, Printing and Personal Systems, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP. “By delivering a strong line-up of new devices, solutions and services that enable efficiency, productivity and, ultimately, cost savings, HP helps customers to become more agile in addressing the changing demands of an active enterprise landscape today.”

Mobility Innovation
Enterprise customers need technology that can deliver the power of mobility while seamlessly integrating into their existing systems. New HP innovations include:
HP Mobile Remote Graphics Solution, a unique integrated mobility and collaboration solution for businesses, comprising a HP mobile device, HP Z series Workstations and HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) 6.0, a remote visualization software. This end-to-end solution helps customers connect remote workers, improve mobile access to graphics-heavy applications, and provide real-time collaboration for teams that are geographically dispersed. Users can also print from virtually anywhere using the HP Designjet ePrint and Share(4).
HP Retail Jacket for ElitePad allows businesses to meet customer needs anywhere in the store with mobile point of sale and assisted selling capabilities(5).. The new mobile solution, based on the HP ElitePad, integrates into retailers’ existing IT infrastructure, allowing them to connect to existing store systems and improve customer service.
HP ePrint Enterprise 2.2(6) now includes integration with mobile device management (MDM) solutions from Good Technology™, a partner    with more than 3,800 customers globally. The HP ePrint Enterprise for Good iOS app lets mobile users securely print from Good applications while giving enterprise IT administrators flexible control of security policies for different mobile configurations.
For additional security, HP ePrint Enterprise can be integrated with solutions such as HP Access Control, which encrypts and sends print jobs to a protected server and allows a print job to be pulled from the server and printed only when the user is authenticated. By integrating HP ePrint Enterprise with HP Access Control, enterprises can reduce costs, improve employee productivity and flexibility, as well as audit, track and monitor the printing of documents by employees in and out of the office.

Increased productivity with new devices
The new HP devices enable efficient productivity for a variety of organizations, from retail storefronts to behind-the-scenes enterprise management, and specific business and government verticals.
HP Pro and HP Elite series desktop PCs pack high-powered computing functions into a range of compact form factors that fit easily into any office environment, while offering high levels of security.
HP Pro and HP Elite series AiO PCs offer additional options for office productivity, including available touchscreen capabilities and integrated near-field communications (NFC)(7)  for quick and convenient file sharing, enabling easy access to computing power in almost any spot in the office.
For organizations looking for a cost-effective solution to bring wide-format, color printing in-house, the HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format e-All-in-One printer offers print, scan and copy capabilities of A3-sized documents and across versatile media formats. The printer enables customers to print high-impact color documents such as borderless flyers and brochures in a range of sizes including 3x5 inches to 13x19 inches. The printer also offers fax feature.

Improving Workflow
HP Exstream now offers new features and enhancements to improve workflow through targeted customer communications across print and electronic channels.
HP Exstream LiveSite Connector combines solutions from Autonomy and HP Exstream to offer consistent, analytics-based, targeted customer communications.
HP Claims Correspondence 2.0 reduces claims-settlement cycle time, provides faster correspondence processing and improves online awareness of claims status by uniting document content with people and processes.
For organizations that want to provide communications like utility bills or credit card statements via multiple channels, HP today introduced new enhancements to HP Exstream Delivery Manager that will ensure that content is received by customers. HP Exstream Delivery Manager, in the case that an electronic customer communication isn’t received, now automatically sends it to a secondary channel (i.e. SMS) an unlimited amount of times until the customer receives it.
A new integration with interactive marketing firm ExactTarget allows companies to track electronic customer communications and compile data on messages that were opened, not opened, forwarded, deleted or caught by spam filters.

HP Services
HP complements its products with solutions, services and resources to help customers take full advantage of their HP devices. In addition to extensive phone and online support offerings, HP Care Pack Services offer support packages that go beyond the standard warranties for HP hardware and software, installation services, and premium support options to meet the needs of business-critical IT environments (8).

HP is introducing the new HP Page Plan to provide convenient access to HP’s latest enterprise-class printing innovation such as HP Officejet Pro X – the world’s fastest desktop printer(9) – – and the HP Flow MFP series that comes with high-performing single-pass duplex scanning, ultrasonic    double-feed detection and a pull-out keyboard for meta-data tagging.  HP Page Plan simplifies the purchase of new HP products, supplies, and hardware support into a simple, convenient print services contract.

Organizations can begin realizing some efficiencies of HP’s Managed Print Services portfolio, with the flexibility to scale to more comprehensive services over time.

Mixed Asset Recovery Services from HP Financial Services help customers upgrade to the latest HP desktop, notebook or tablet by providing a single return process for both owned and leased assets to effectively manage the complexities associated with removing replaced equipment.

Microsoft will retire Windows® XP in April 2014, ending support for the longstanding operating system. HP is helping enterprises modernize their technology while increasing employee productivity and reducing downtime by offering new AiO and desktop PCs preloaded with a choice of either Microsoft® Windows 7(10)  or Microsoft Windows 8 (11)  . HP also offers comprehensive and cost-effective migration services for enterprise and small and mid-size business (SMB) customers.

HP also announced that it will roll out a new support service for enterprise IT customers worldwide. In addition, to help companies free up time and resources, HP is offering HP Deployment Services, a portfolio of services to help organizations successfully implement HP devices and software resources, as well as ensure that the technologies are well integrated into their existing IT infrastructure.
