TM CONTINUES TO EXPAND HSBB SERVICE IN SELANGOR

TM collaborates with Temasya Development Co. Sdn Bhd to bring an integrated digital lifestyle 
to the residents of Temasya and Temasya Citra 

Partnership with Temasya Development Co. Sdn Bhd to enhance premium residential project with the latest high-speed broadband (HSBB) network connectivity
Both parties committed to provide high speed broadband connectivity to development project in Bandar Glenmarie, kicking off with Temasya (Phase 1) and Temasya Citra (Phase 2)
TM will continue to sign more similar agreements with other Selangor-based property developers in the near future

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recently sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Temasya Development Co. Sdn Bhd (Temasya), a Selangor-based property developer for the provision of TM’s high speed broadband (HSBB) services to the latter’s latest residential development in Bandar Glenmarie, Section U1, Shah Alam – Temasya (Phase 1) and Temasya Citra (Phase 2).

Datuk Zaini Maatan, State Vice President, TM Selangor and Azman Yusof, General Manager, SME, TM signed the MoU on behalf of TM while Temasya was represented by its Director, Tengku Dato’ Setia Ramli Tengku Shahruddin Shah and Zaini Yusoff, General Manager, Central Region 3 of Temasya.

Commenting on the newly-inked partnership, Datuk Zaini said, “This partnership is an important step towards establishing a good synergy between TM and dynamic property developers like Temasya, for the benefit of home-owners and residents in Selangor. Both parties are committed to leverage on our core competencies and strengths in providing quality homes as well as HSBB network infrastructure that supports UniFi services, based on a unique eco-friendly and beautifully landscaped housing development.”

Under the collaboration, TM will provide its high-speed Internet service - UniFi, telephony and other telecommunications services to the 60 Semi-D units of Temasya (Phase 1) as well as Temasya Citra (phase 2) housing developments.

“Every unit under the development projects will be UniFi-enabled and residents can immediately subscribe to the service upon moving into their new homes. With the availability of high speed connectivity, brought to you by TM, residents can leverage on high-bandwidth applications and embrace a digital lifestyle, true to our promise of “Life Made Easier”. This is also in line with TM’s aspiration to deliver an integrated and enhanced digital lifestyle to Malaysian homes,” added Datuk Zaini.

To date, UniFi has been made available in 102 areas nationwide with over 1.4 million premises passed. In its effort to expand its service coverage, TM has collaborated with 33 local housing developers nationwide via 36 Smart Partnership Agreements for the provision of HSBB network infrastructure to the new housing developments.

TM will continue to focus on collaborations with key industry associations as an initiative to improve its outreach to SME communities, and in this context, property development firms. Such collaborations will help increase the usage of high speed broadband amongst Malaysians and with the establishment of smart partnerships such as this project, TM hopes to boost the ICT development as outlined in the National Broadband Plan. TM will continue to support potential SMEs through collaborative efforts that would enhance the competitiveness of products offered by SMEs.

As SMEs contribute 32.5% to Malaysia’s GDP and are a force to be reckoned with in Malaysia’s economic development, we encourage SMEs to fully utilise our products, services, solutions, and initiatives including Office in a Box (OIAB) and UniFi that would help them to kick start and expand their business thereby creating more value for end customers. “TM is always on the lookout for more promising SME companies to become our collaborative partners and we will be announcing more partnerships with other corporations in the near future. We are always keen to do our part in boosting the ICT usage among Malaysian SMEs, align with our tagline; “Business Made Easier” by focusing on in-office and out-of-office solutions.” Datuk Zaini further added.
