FUJIFILM X-M1 ADVANCES THE INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED X-SERIES TREND

Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2013:     FUJIFILM’s X-series cameras, internationally acclaimed for its retro good looks and easy handling, now adds the FUJIFILM X-M1 equipped with the award-winning 16.3 Megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor as the XPro 1, which delivers superior image quality, housed in a lightweight body.

FUJIFILM X-M1 is the third premium interchangeable lens camera from the company.

“FUJIFILM X-M1 has the best elements of high quality performance and power for casual photographers and enthusiasts to deliver images that far exceed expectations,” says Yasunobu Nishiyama, Managing Director of FUJIFILM Malaysia.

Design-wise, FUJIFILM X-M1 is compact, stylish and solid and comes in three striking colours: black, silver, and brown. Among the improved features include faster autofocus, new menu systems, and sharp and speedy performance with the aid of the EXR II processor. The camera also features a three-inch tilting high resolution LCD screen with 920,000 dots for easy image viewing and framing at various angles.

The FUJIFILM X-M1 also features a WiFi function allowing users to transfer photos from the camera to smartphones, tablets and computers and upload high-quality images to social media sites for effortless sharing.

The astute design of the FUJIFILM X-M1, with all the adjustable buttons and dials positioned on the right-hand side of the camera’s rear LCD panel, gives users the advantage of one-handed camera operation, ideal for those who want to capture images from fleeting moments.
The Mode Dial for selecting the optimum setting for each scene gives access to the Advanced SR Auto function that automatically recognises each scene and selects the best settings for sharp and clear images.

Yet another refreshing feature is the Advanced Filter function that gives users a range of creative filters to achieve unique and artistic looks. The use of two perfectly positioned Command Dials allows users to adjust the aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation, while frequently used functions come with individual buttons to enable intuitive and fast operation.

FUJIFILM X-M1’s high-precision built-in flash uses FUJIFILM’s Super i-Flash technology to regulate the amount of light it fires dependent on the scene. The camera is also capable of full HD video recording at 30 frames per second. Creative effects can be added when shooting videos with Film Simulation options including Monochrome, and beautiful bokeh achieved with the large sensor at a large aperture.
“We’re extremely proud of the latest addition to the FUJIFILM X-series because it is the smallest and lightest exchangeable lens camera that retains the highest image quality of the series,” says Yasunobu Nishiyama.

The FUJIFILM X-M1 model with XC 16 – 50mm lens kit will be available at the affordable price of RM2,988 or with dual lens kit at RM3,588 (XC 16 – 50mm lens and XF 27mm lens). Both packages come with an exclusive half case and 8GB SD Card.
