IPROPERTY GROUP APPOINTS NEW CIO

As the owner of Asia’s No.1 network of property portals continues its growth plans, the iProperty Group, today announced the appointment of Harmit Singh as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Reporting directly to iProperty Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Shaun Di Gregorio said that Singh’s appointment and  his outstanding skills is in line with the company’s mission in taking the iProperty Group through its next phase of growth.

“Positioning ourselves with the right people is essential in achieving our mission. We conducted the search for a CIO over an extended period to ensure we brought on board a person that possessed the right level of expertise and skills. Singh was the perfect candidate of choice as he brings the required leadership, experience, expertise and understanding that are essential for the future growth of the business. He is a welcomed addition to our team. His experience in global markets will also serve in our planning towards providing our consumers and customers with new innovative solutions,” said Di Gregorio.

He added that the iProperty Group’s mobile first approach and emphasis on innovation will be further enhanced with Singh’s level of expertise and knowledge and it will certainly propel the company’s next phase of growth.

“We were the first to go to the market with the iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian apps, which were designed to enable consumers to have the convenience to search for properties with greater ease. We are pleased to say that our property search app has completely transformed how people now search property. Just by using their mobile devices, we have made it much easier for property buyers and investors to find their dream home,” said Di Gregorio.

He added that since the company launched the app, it has successfully crossed the million download milestone, with the figures rapidly growing. The iProperty Group continues to recognise the importance of mobile and will be focusing on introducing more innovative solutions.

With a solid track record and having performed in various technical leadership roles in companies such as Capgemini Services Malaysia, Cathay Pacific and Malaysia Airlines, Singh is a highly effective IT professional with over 14 years of experience.

“I am certainly looking forward to being a part of a dynamic and successful team at iProperty. My main priority is to continue to elevate our status as the market leader in the online property portal business. As the company focuses on innovation, my priority will be to enable and promote this innovative culture by empowering the team to take the iProperty Group to even greater heights,” said Singh.
