MAXIS SIMPLIFIES WITH FINDIT, MALAYSIA’S LARGEST DIGITAL DIRECTORY SERVICE

Consumers have access to more than 175,000 business listings in over 2,500 categories, on the go
Businesses can connect and reach out to a wide market by promoting their products, services and deals 
Available for download via mobile app, website, WAP portal for both Android and iOS users
Maxis customers get to use the service for free


Kuala Lumpur, 11 March 2014. In an increasingly mobile-centric world, access to information and on-the-go has never been more critical. Mobile technology continues to simplify lives by connecting us all with information that we want, wherever we are, at any time. Access to such information can be exemplified by FINDIT, the largest digital directory service in the country. FINDIT is a partnership between FINDIT Malaysia and Maxis Berhad, Malaysia’s leading communications service provider. FINDIT is available for download and usage for free for all Maxis customers.

In a product demo and experiential event held in Kuala Lumpur today for the media, T. Kugan, Maxis’ Head of Digital Services, said, “Searching for information on mobile devices is the second most popular internet activity after emails, with 46% of users using their mobile devices as a primary search tool. FINDIT is a service that is therefore relevant to our modern day lifestyles, especially when we are constantly on the go. Importantly, this service puts the power in our customers’ hands and allows them to always stay connected.”

For consumers, FINDIT provides access to information on 175,000 business listings in over 2,500 categories, including location maps and driving directions, directly from their mobile phones. Consumers can also enjoy special offers and promotions from various merchants listed in the directory, which they can redeem immediately. 

For businesses, FINDIT serves as an important tool for to help them be more visible to a much wider market, capitalising on the popular mobile platform to connect with their own customers. FINDIT’s location-based feature also enables users to search for product and services closest to their location.

FINDIT is also available exclusively for Maxis customers via UMB by dialing *200# from their mobile.
