ProphetStor Expands its International and Technical Presence With New Offices in Malaysia and Singapore

Commitment to South Asia Region Reaffirmed with Appointment of Regional Director Simon Ng

MILPITAS, CA., March 19, 2014 — ProphetStor Data Services, Inc., a leader in Software-Defined Storage (SDS), today announced the opening of offices in Malaysia and Singapore, along with the appointment of Simon Ng as Regional Director, South Asia.

"Our newest offices broaden our geographic scope in the Asia Pacific region and puts us in close proximity to a significant number of key strategic providers of storage, backup, infrastructure and data center solutions," said Eric Chen, CEO of ProphetStor. "Both Malaysia and Singapore have been pioneering Asian countries in IT adoption, and with Simon at the helm, we see great potential for developing alliances with these business partners and service firms to provide customers with more reliability and efficiency through ProphetStor Federator.”

The new facilities will provide pre-sales and post-sales support, customer service and technical assistance to ProphetStor's growing base of customers in the South Asia region. Companies that share the need for reduced storage complexity can now enjoy the numerous benefits of ProphetStor Federator, an integrated software-defined storage management platform that simplifies and automates storage discovery, abstraction, and delivery, freeing storage users from complex, and often confusion storage management software associated with various storage systems.

ProphetStor is also recruiting channel partners, value added distributors and integrators to provide consultancy, design, deployment and post-implementation support for Enterprise customers. The company will also conduct workshops, seminars and boot camps to provide awareness and education for both partners and customers in its South Asia offices.  With offices now in Malaysia and Singapore, the company is targeting the Banking and Insurance, Government, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Logistics and Telco industries.

Mr. Ng will be responsible for sales and marketing, technical services, channel partners and strategic alliances. He has over 18 years of experience in setting up and leading both regional and local offices for multi-national corporations and distributors, including ACA Pacific Technology, Computer Associates (now known as CA Technologies) and FalconStor Software.
