MIMOS & CISCO MALAYSIA TO ESTABLISH AN ASIAN CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 July, 2007 – MIMOS & Cisco Malaysia recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise its collaboration for the establishment of an Asian Centre of Excellence in Networking Technologies (ACENT).

ACENT, to be located at MIMOS in Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, will
¨ Develop and test prototypes of new networking technology products for proof-of-concept
¨ Simulate and test new technology products prior to development and/or production
¨ Simulate and test of disaster recovery technology, processes and protocols
¨ Plan, simulate and test technology migration; and
¨ Develop indigenous skills and capability in advance networking technologies.

At the signing ceremony MIMOS was represented by its President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Abdul Wahab Abdullah; while Cisco Malaysia was represented by its Managing Director, Kumaran Singaram.
