MACROKIOSK Takes Clients to Global Market
Petaling Jaya, 20 September 2007: Asia's leading SMS gateway, MACROKIOSK, is now able to offer its customers direct access to mobile markets in Central America, Middle East, Europe, Africa and India.
This is made possible through its partnership with mTN Global Inc, the world’s leading mobile services marketplace, formalised here today.
With this partnership, MACROKIOSK's clients who are original content owners will have a worldwide platform to market their offerings.
“We're excited about this MACROKIOSK–mTN Global tie-up as we are now providing a gateway to the world, literally,” said Kenny Goh, Chief Executive Officer of Macro Kiosk Bhd.
“MACROKIOSK is proud to be invited as the only Asian mobile messaging technology enabler to join this mTN Network. That means content providers (CPs) in Malaysia, and countries we're in - Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam - can reach the world through us.
“With this partnership in place, CPs in countries like Central and South America, Middle East, Africa, India and Eastern Europe can now access Asia via MACROKIOSK.
“Our message to content providers is: 'The world is your oyster',” he quipped.
He expected this partnership to generate revenue within the next six months.
Explaining how it works, Goh said if MACROKIOSK’s CP wanted to penetrate Saudi Arabia for instance, MACROKIOSK will leverage on its partnership with mTN Global to pave the way for the CP to reach mobile users in Saudi Arabia. Similarly, if mTN Global's CP wanted to market its content to China, MACROKIOSK would offer this reach as well.
Goh further explained that in moving towards being the leading mobile messaging gateway provider worldwide, this partnership is very much in line with MACROKIOSK's strategy to complement our connections to 364 mobile operators over 115 countries as well as being able to extend our market offerings to these continents.
“Furthermore, this access platform works both ways. With the mTN partnership, we'll bring the rest of the world to Asia. Content providers from Europe, Middle East and those other regions would be able to gain quick and fuss-free access to Malaysia, and the other nine countries that MACROKIOSK has physical presence in. No more battling barriers to entry or figuring out how to go about accessing Asia's market, as MACROKIOSK will clear the path. Time to market would be slashed to a minimum.
“Of course, the end users stand to benefit – a delicious international buffet of mobile content and applications awaits.
Speaking at the briefing, mTN Global Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Paul McGuire said, “We provide the market visibility, trading framework and underlying mobile transaction technology that connect an aggregator's platform to other buyers and suppliers.”
“mTN Global is enthusiastic about the synergy that this partnership will provide. We’ll be able to tap on MACROKIOSK’s strength in Asia, while MACROKIOSK gains access to the rest of the world,” he said.
