Hotlink 365 Stretches Prepaid Validity to 365 Days

Hotlink’s new service offers convenient option for mobile connectivity

Kuala Lumpur, 16 July 2008 - Hotlink, the country’s no. 1 prepaid service from Maxis Communications Berhad (“Maxis”), today redefined the Malaysian prepaid mobile market with the introduction of Hotlink 365. This new service is the first of its kind to be offered in Malaysia. It allows the customer to make and receive calls for the entire 365 days, thereby enabling full utilisation of prepaid credit balances within the period. Customers now can enjoy uninterrupted service over the 365 days. To subscribe to Hotlink 365, prepaid customers only need to pay RM33 for the one-year validity, and top up RM30 within the first six months of signing up.

At the launch of the Hotlink 365 today, Tan Lay Han, Maxis Head of Consumer Marketing, said, “Hotlink 365 is a new service that offers our customers a more innovative option for mobile connectivity. Current prepaid services in Malaysia offer validity periods of between 10 to 30 days, and customers are required to reload to be able to make outgoing calls. With Hotlink 365, customers have the flexibility to reload anytime to make calls within the 365 day period. The customer’s line can remain active for just about 9 sen/ day. We are certain that Hotlink 365 will benefit our customers by allowing them to keep their lines active for a longer period.”

Both existing and new customers can subscribe to this service. To subscribe, Hotlink customers need to ensure the account is active with a minimum balance of RM33. The customer then needs to dial *108*6#. RM33 will be deducted from the account. The customer will then receive an SMS confirmation within three days informing her that her prepaid validity has been extended by 365 days.

If the customer still has paid validity in her account, her new validity will include both the existing paid and the new 365 day validity. All benefits earned by existing customers will remain intact after the activation of this service.

Hotlink has consistently been offering innovative products to its customers. It recently extended its Activ5 programme to an Activ10 programme that offers customers cheaper mobile rates for calls to 10 friends and family members, and also introduced the Super Savers programme which offers cheaper calls via creative bundling packages. Both programmes can be activated easily by dialling *100#. Hotlink 365 is the latest in Hotlink’s value offerings to its customers.
